All Blacks vs Boks

Taylor has been quite impressive as an AB, setting some standard for Dan Coles, one could argue.
-
When do the Boks play Japan next? Hope they are prepared.
-
@nostrildamus to be fair the Boks are missing some quality players, but not, I would have thought, that many. What a miserable game for them.
-
Wow! Suddenly the 60-0 loss in the third test 2012 doesn't look so bad.
That was the most one-sided, minnow-like, arse thrashing I've seen in a while.
Congrats New Zealand.

Holy shit. 57-0. That is an arse fucking and a half. I actually feel really sorry for the Boks captain who has to speak now. What do you say?
I'm not sure I can ever feel sorry for Etzebeth - one of my favourite points in that game was the shot of him sitting in the sheds at halftime... his face could be put on a poster labelled "Despondency".
I'm curious as to how the coach talks about that game though... -

The gap between Coles and Taylor has well and truly closed; it's the question who comes next that gives reason to worry.
That Aumua (sp?) fulla from Wellington goes ok.
And how often are we worried about depth, when almost out of nowhere some freakish player arrives in Black making us all question what we were worried about... -
ABs developing a bit of experience in their depth this year. Front row in particular with back-ups to the first choice front row looking like test quality players. In the second row, SB starting a big match instead of BBBR or SW wouldn't be ideal but wouldn't cause a national melt down either.

@Mokey The Springboks looked like Auckland Rugby tonight. All power without game plan and skills for modern game.
Yep. From the start they were looking to just power it up the guts. Can't do that for 80 against the ABs. But their set piece was a shambles as well.
SA have the players to play some amazing expansive rugby. The speed available is something to behold. But they seem to be stuck in this ancient mindset. Sometimes at home they come out of their shell and let it rip, but then crawl back under. So much squandered potential.

That second half was far more enjoyable, the overall quality of the game was far better, especially by the ABs (of course). That second half was the best I've seen the ABs play since sometime in 2016 (before the French test, which was when it started to go a bit downhill IMO). Nice to see the reserves make such a positive impact after the clusterfuck in Sydney

Does Matfield have a son?

And our bench did ok!
