Hope that try doesn't become the only highlight of the tour.

I hope it's the only one for the lions.

I've never rated the hobbit at 10 for the abs, ffs he looks pretty average tonight

Messy play there, golden chance to hit back fluffed.

Great first half, ABs started very strong and controlled things nicely. Injuries to BFA and Crotty have hurt us.

Lions started slow but starting to build into it now. Williams at 15 had paid off, Halfpenny would never make a break like that.

Set up for an epic 2nd 40.

True, but that kick may come back to haunt us

Want to see Cruden's fabled partnership with SBW coming into play, failing that, BB coming into first receiver on attack more often.

Yep, or Smith to skip pass to the midfield until Cruden wakes the fuck up.

We looked so much better with Barrett at 10.

Sheesh, it's barely 40 minutes and you've forgotten the at least two dud kicks Barrett did while at 10.

At any rate, I think we need to keep it in the hand, we're putting real dents in their line and then when we have a roll on we do a stupid kick.

Yep, Cruden looks a bit lost out there. Not sure what the fuck is going on, but I hope he gets his shot together soon.

Given the necessary rearrangement in the NZ backline, would a Sexton/Farrell 10-12 make more progress?

Our forwards are killing it. Midfield good too.

It's a great test match, Lions are playing well

@Tim said in BIL & AB teams for Test #1 (AKA - who's impressing you at the moment?):

I hope that Cruden doesn't get on the field. Our play really deteriorated last year when he came on at 1st 5 and Barrett moved to the back.

    I agree with that.

@Pot-Hale I'd be running Te'o at cruden. He makes most of his tackles but it's free advantage line / momentum every time.

Agree, put the chip kick away. We are looking great with ball in hand and drawing penaltes in their 22.

Lets all revel in the thought that if the Lions were in Australia this year they would be up by a thousand at the moment

Ben Smith's health probably factors into Crotty's replacement. Could see Barrett on the bench if Smith is 100% and able to cover centre.

Cruden looks like he's got one foot on the plane. Not mentally up for it, which you would imagine the coaches would have anticipated. Barrett needs to be back at 10. Backline now rudderless.

That was some try...our forwards smashing it, our backs not.

I'm getting sick of every team in every game being in front of kickoffs.
