Watched Black Swan a week ago - Anything with Natalie Portman doing naughty lesbian things to Natalie Portman is worth a Nobel fucking Peace Prize.
And if anyone here disagrees I will come to your house and punch you in the throat.
watched The Kings Speech.

Thought it was fine, maybe 7/10, although Firth was superb in his role, as was his speech therapist/coach...?

and Sneak, that is funny!!

The Collector - pile of shit, do not even entertain the thought of watching. I would be very happy if all the deaths in the movie were real.

Get Low is an interesting yarn well worth a watch. Old hermit has his funeral arranged for him while still alive, wont ruin the plot from there for you.
Lovebirds, the new Rhys Darby romcom is reasonable with plenty of laughs and makes Auckland look far more appealing than it really is.

The Fighter; as already mentioned, Christian Bale is pretty damned good in this! Wahlberg is pretty good too, although I had a very hard time believing he was 66kg!

Wasn't as good of a movie as I thought expected it to be, enjoyable, easy to watch with some superb acting, but a little slow moving, if not predictable (which given based on a true story make it's tough to make it less I guess...) not to mention some of the fight scenes were poorly choreographed

I watched Boy the other day, it was kind of depressing, could have been a really good drama, or a really good comedy but it fell somewhere inbetween and suffered for it I reckon.

Going by the box office and DVD sales 99% of the country tends to disagree with you.

I think it was ok, there were a few shifts in tone but I don't think they hurt the film.

Saw 127 Hours last night. Good film. James franco does a good job as pretty much the focus of the whole film. A bit of a harrowing story though. I'm keen to read the book now.

According to the box office, Twilight, The Phantom Menace and Transformers ROTF are cinematic masterpieces.

    American: The Bill Hicks story

If you are a Hicks fan, this is a must see. Very well done biography of a stand-up comedian, other stand ups revere.

I'm having a bit of a doco season at the moment and here is another

Wasteland - story of a Brazilian artist who goes to the largest refuse dump in Rio and engages the "trash pickers" in creating art from the recyclable waste. Great story, happy ending, and a few heart string pulling moments

Are you really equating Boy with Boyzone? At any rate see above.

Went and saw (yes thats right i didnt actually download it) World Invasion: Battle LA lastnight, saw the preview for Paul. Looks a great watch.

Battle LA by the way wasnt bad, basically a modern warfare movie that so happens to involve aliens rather than Terrorists/Chinese/Russians.
7.2/10

    Saw a few movies on my trip;

Social Network: excellent, even if inaccurate
127 Hours: more entertaining than the premise has a right to be. Very good
Inception: mind bending sic fi, well made and this generations blade runner (or total recall, for the open to interpretation ending)
Red: brained dead fun with a great cast, was fine
Battle LA: better than I expected, awful dialogue but 100 times better than independence day.
