Black Caps v South Africa

We might have missed two-metre Peter.
Watching the Final of the Ford Trophy (50 over format) and it's been reduced to 20 overs per side due to rain.
Pete's just wound back the clock by scoring the fastest ever century in List-A cricket - off 50 balls (going past BMac's 52 ball record) and carried it on to an unbeaten 114 off 57 balls.
Canterbury have capitalized by posting 199/3.
Wellington will have to bat quite well to chase that down.
I guess they can be thankful for the rain. Using the old double it after 30 overs formula it looks like they would have been chasing 600!!!

Quite a few too many for Wellington in the end.
Disturbingly, easily the two most impressive batsmen were Fults and (JH)amish. More promisingly, Henry Nicholls and Blundell did quite well, as well - though Blundell's keeping didn't impress me.
Bowling, well, lots of shit. Admittedly it was a pretty flat track, so if you stick Jeetan in as the benchmark - he got pretty pummeled through some patient batting by Fulton and Nicholls. Ellis and Astle were good as veterans.
The guy to be excited about, though, is Kyle Jamieson. 6'5" of fast medium. Not sure if someone can add 10k's of pace to him, but lots of people need to try, because he's got potential weapon written all over him.
Canterbury had another lanky fast bowler who might have some potential, but he didn't strike me as potentially lethal as Jamieson.

Rossco wanted to know what he needed to do to make the team.
Turns out, "Sit on your couch with a beer in hand" is enough.
Given Tahir's success, you've got to think that giving Sodhi a run might have been a reasonable idea.
Missed Guppy, Missed Rossco, Missed Ish.
Sounds about right...

Glorious sunny day here, but wouldn't you know it....it's raining in fucking Hamilton.
Is this the game that was shifted from Napier?
Richmond - highest sunshine hours in NZ last year...and the location of Saxton Field.
NZ Cricket needs to "drain the swamps".
Send the games to where the sun shines brightly!

Think they moved game 4 or 5 from Napier?

Latham gone for...0 off...11 Balls.
The Black Caps only get to score off 32 overs, SA will have 34..
Tom is going to give Hesson a headache. When Guppy comes back, one of the openers is going to have to drop out. If it's Tom, we've got to bring in someone to keep - and that means losing a bowling option somewhere. Probably Ronchi in for Neesham or de Grandhomme?

Yeah I think he will give him a few more games but at some point he will have to go.
Gah 4 down all to Morris, how many overs has he left to bowl?
