Glorious sunny day here, but wouldn't you know it....it's raining in fucking Hamilton.

Is this the game that was shifted from Napier?

Richmond - highest sunshine hours in NZ last year...and the location of Saxton Field.

NZ Cricket needs to "drain the swamps".

Send the games to where the sun shines brightly!

Think they moved game 4 or 5 from Napier?

Rain must be centered directly on Hamilton, cos we havent had a drop in the sticks.

Cricinfo says 5.15pm start, 34 overs per side.

34 overs and we are batting first.
Dean Brownlie and Tom Latham to open, has their ever been such a lackluster opening pair before?
They dont exactly make you rush to grab a seat incase you miss any 'fireworks'.

    Gah. Fucking soft dismissals.

No pressure, Obi Wan Kaneobi, but you're our only hope.

Tom is going to give Hesson a headache. When Guppy comes back, one of the openers is going to have to drop out. If it's Tom, we've got to bring in someone to keep - and that means losing a bowling option somewhere. Probably Ronchi in for Neesham or de Grandhomme?

Yeah I think he will give him a few more games but at some point he will have to go.
Gah 4 down all to Morris, how many overs has he left to bowl?

@Mokey our run rate is low and we're losing wickets. The worst of both worlds

    10 overs to go. 121/5.

Santner and Neesham both on 10. Would be great to see a counter offensive, but the Saffas are bowling and fielding very, very well.

Disappointing performance so far to say the least. Really missing Guptill today.

Going to take a top bowling performance to get out of this one.
Boult and co are capable of defending anything if they bowl well.

LOL. NZ remember how to bat in the last over and get 25 runs. Southee and CDG put on a show. Too bad no one else did apart from Kane.

Saffas will chase 208, which is at least something to bowl at.

Best 4 balls Southee has batted since his debut.

A bit of joy at the end as Morris last over gets smashed and we get to 207.

Only thing I hope is that that isn't indicative that the pitch suddenly started to play nicely. If it stays tacky and holding, maybe that will be more foreign to the SA batsmen than us.

Southee giving a bit of credence to my theory that we possibly should promote him to have a hit when we're a wicket or two more down than we want and should be starting the charge, but can't. He apparently plays exactly the same regardless of the position of the game, so he either comes off or he doesn't.

What am I missing? The commentators are talking like we're in front? Surely in the T20 age that's like 60 too short?
