France v All Blacks
-
Cane v Todd is now a very real conversation. Todd is better on the ground, and his link play is superb.
Cane is more physical on both sides of the ball, and we've needed that this year with both Read and Kaino being up and down.
Savea is busy, but not physical enough, prone to defensive lapses, not as effective at the ruck, but a good power runner.
I would imagine all 3 are given a solid list of work-ons for next year
-
BTW fuck the French.
This is the colour of their jerseys:
Well it would be if i could embed a picture ...Not the pseudo black they've tried on with their navy recently.
And I see it's not Nike any more (who made the original change). They've gone back to Adidas. So the conspiracist in me thinks that perhaps Adidas were not that keen to change the French jersey back to the traditional sky bleu.
But I still liked the jersey.
P.S. I googled Serge Blanco to find a picture of a proper coloured French jersey. It appears he has eaten most of Nike.
fixed. This was last year's shirt I believe

This has an easter egg.

re: the jersey, I didn't mind it, and if they'd kept everything straigh instead of angled in the top panel I'd actually quite like it.
Same here. I thought it looked ridiculous when they launched it but I didn't mind it once I saw it on the field, probably because I couldn't see the angled emblem/logo.

Was it the bit that sounded a lot like "F@ck yeah boys! C@nts!" at around the 30 second mark?

Those 2 spastic amish prudes who snitched on A.Smith for airport bog rooting should be shot for fucking treason. Hope they were watching the EOYT and were delighted with their highly successful emasculation project.
They wouldn't have been watching. She would have been busy sucking lemons and he would have been busy holding her tampons. Seriously though I'd be surprised if Nugget's mind was completely on the job. The atmosphere at his house must be a bit uncomfortable to say the least, and him being away on tour doesn't give him many chances to build bridges does it? There can't be much worse to look forward to than the daily phone call to a woman you publicly humiliated.
But boy we missed his passing this tour. Hope he gets his head right soon.

Have we seen Cane and Todd go together in tandem yet ?
I don't believe we have , but I think it could be worth a look late in a game because they play so different , it wouldn't be too much of the same thing IMO . -
@JC I think it would be more he simply isn't allowed to watch it, assuming they are still together after he tried to throw her under the bus...think the NZ Media should find out if they are still together, hound them for comment, afterall, they are like almost famous!

@Crash Our scrambling D was excellent. Have watched first half again carefully. In a couple of occasions we initially got into some problems because, unlike the Irish's tactics of pressing -- which in Chicago disrupted potentially match winning passes by Moala and Squire out wide at 29-33 -- we (I recall ALB and Naholo) hung back, allowing 20 metres plus to be made. That said, this enabled the drift defence to make what were by then try saving tackles. I think I prefer pressing!

Are you not up with the gossip? Nuggets better half was in Paris with him.
I somehow don't think the dunnys at CDG will be seeing much action -

@Tim I still think he should be considered. He has shown both in SR and for Counties this year that he has the biggest engine and work rate of them all, runs fast, and can play at 8 well. I wonder whether they'll have 3-day camps again in the weeks before the SR break. That would be a good opportunity to call up all these players and have a closer look at them in the AB environment.
I wonder whether Taufua has set his sights on being the AB super-sub option.
He played most, if not all, of the M10 Cup at 7 for Counties, where I don't recall him playing before. He's already an excellent 6 and a proficient 8 and I reckon the only thing that has him behind Squire and Dixon is his lack of height in the lineout. He's certainly got test match physicality.
But, if he can play all three loose forward roles competently and allow us to have a specialist lock on the bench then it gives us better options ie Barrett/Taufua might be > Squire/Savea.
Hopefully Razor will show a bit more imagination in his selections than Toddy - and vary things a bit more - and give Taufua some time at 7 and 8 for the Crusaders.

Well according to those dodgy selfies doing the rounds a while back Nugget could also be named "big man"

I had the cricket going in the other room yesterday and came out to see Tom and Jeet opening the NZ innings and poor old Tommy edged his first ball to slip and I thought he'd got his King Pair.
Luckily just the start of first innings highlights/replay and they were off for rain.

That's awesome.
Fark Jordie is huge. He'll be a weapon and a half when he fills out.
How good was Kane before his concussion issues?
