And here I was thinking Canadians were laid back easy going alternatives to Americans.
Look the Irish are extremely loyal to their local sides. They are superb at supporting their team they travel en masse around Europe to do so.
The flip side is that objectivity is not a strongpoint as that would negate blind loyalty and as i said if there's one thing you can't accuse the Irish of its disloyalty.
The Irish were aggrieved about what they saw as thuggery and went into bat for their side. It's what they do.

Yeah you're probably right but honestly, all wind-ups aside, the "whingeing" angle has obviously been massively overstated in NZ. Most people here are perplexed by it. -

The reaction has been a legitimate discussion this week.
The reaction in Ireland, media and social media, has been extraordinary.
Wasn't even a particularly controversial game from an Ireland / reffing / judiciary perspective. Very surprised, as watching with my own patch on, that most definitely wasn't what I thought the after match focus was going to be.
It's been amazing to me to read.
Don't know enough about Irish media to differentiate the paid trolls from legit journos, so impression sticks.

This. I don't see why we can't discuss the reaction from the Irish . It's been something to behold considering the game wasn't even close and the things they were whining about were for the most part bullshit,
