They'll both walk back in, but if they don't perform they'll be absolutely crucified. Ironically I think Bancroft is most tainted at the moment for opening old wounds right before the bans come to an end. Probably very unfair, but it's strange that he would open up about this now. On the other hand, doing the angry dwarf's bidding seriously derailed his career.

The more I look at it the more I realise that Aussie cricket is analysed and covered in Australia to such a massive degree that it will never be issue or controversy free.
The coverage and exposure surrounding Aus cricket leaves nothing unturned or uninvestigated . Every interview comment is scrutinised, and hollow, ratings confession interviews that serve no positive outcome, click bait everywhere
The noise surrounding this team is ridiculous, everything, (fucken open mic comedy night behind the stumps is the latest "noise") is played out on the public stage.
Only winning quells the noise, and even then only a bit.
It's all a bit surreal for me, fuck knows how players can relax

@Chester-Draws yeah, you're 100% right, it's not a unique situation. (Overcompensating for my innate national bias I think)
Just seems so "try hard" though. Fake

Bahaha.
Not sure who is winning this sledge battle.
Top work all round.

Read that this morning....that is awesome stuff.
How hot is Paines wife?

Hmmm, not supporting my gut feeling that the Aussie bowlers are awesome ...

It's a good article but, a couple of things. Australia played 10 tests in 2018. 1 at home to England, 4 away to South Africa, 2 away to Pakistan, 3 at home to India. India and South Africa are the two best teams in the world and UAE is a difficult place for pace bowlers. Also Australia doesn't have the depth. Siddle/Sayers are probably good enough but are ageing/unproven. Then they have Mitchell Marsh as sixth bowling option. Also their batsmen get skittled so they have less of a rest. Also it's only one calendar year.
It's best to just look at the player rankings:
3). Cummins
11). Hazlewood
14). Lyon
18). StarcWith the bat it is:
3. Smith
6. Warner
11. Khawaja
36. S Marsh
45. Paine
48. Hanscomb -

okay, good point.
India still rattling along thanks to Pujara, but Kohli back in the shed does make it look better for Australia
Hazlewood bowling bloody well.

@mariner4life he beat a lot of outside edges in Melbourne. A touch unlucky but you make your own ultimately.
Starc has been similar at times but too inconsistent.
