Schmidt would definitely be expecting to beat Wales and Georgia but think there is a 2027 plan in this team also

@Daffy-Jaffy certainly deciding not to be as arrogant and abrasive as his predecessor.

Schmidt comes across well. Just what Wallabies need I think.

People are saying he just lined up the coaches and players he wanted at Leicester. So this seems weird

Golden opportunity for the Tahs though. He is exactly what they need.

More Roar shenanigans talking about Nick Stiles or Simon Raiwalui becoming the head of performance.

@KiwiMurph yep. And I don't mind the idea of Raiwalui in the picture.

But it is only the tip of the iceberg as far as saving rugby goes. Still too much focus on the top end while ignoring all the issues below.

Watched the interview on Stan with Joe Schmidt. A frankly delightful level of realism, given the shit that was 2023's coaching fucktardery

First domino falls for Tahs with the head of performance role.

    Now hire a coach.

    https://www.theroar.com.au/2024/06/26/exclusive-ex-fiji-wallabies-coach-set-to-win-prized-waratahs-role/

Ten months after overseeing Fiji’s greatest World Cup victory by upsetting the Wallabies in Saint Etienne, Simon Raiwalui is set to become the head of performance at the Waratahs.

In a full-circle moment for Raiwalui, who moved to Tempe in Sydney with his mother at a young age before starting out his remarkable rugby career with Manly in the Shute Shield, the former Fijian international will become the Waratahs’ head of performance, The Roar understands.

Have there been any other major signing announcements from the Rebels thus far?
