Two tries to Kahui. The Aussie commentators still can't pronounce his name.
How does one mis-pronounce Kahui?
Lets find some audio if Nisbett for guidance.
Dude, Tim Horan is the fucking master. Sore-tay-er being my absolute favoutite
Who?
Tim Horan was a Wallaby. Part of the RWC91 and 99 winning efforts

What does Peter Fitzsimmons have to do with it?

@KiwiMurph well, fuck... Can't say that will be a positive move with the majority of fans as I'm reading the vibe.
campo pretty much only opens his mouth to change feet

@NTA I'm a fan. I've always found Cheika to be really absorbing to listen to, despite his personal and professional eccentricities. And I don't mind Campo, at least he has an opinion on things.
It all depends how they are used, I suppose.
i can't stand campo. having an opinion is all well and good, but when it's complete bullshit... i mean, Kearnsie had a heap of opinions
Cheika is good value though and i look forward to what he brings. That bloke fucking loves Australian rugby, and loves to talk about it, so i hope they find the right vehicle for him.

@KiwiMurph You can take the man out of league, but you can't take league out of the man?

I'd only tune in to hear Cheika go absolutely nuclear in the coaches box and he's not gonna be doing that.

Feels like bluster over substance.....
The headline is only 50% correct

Agree on Cheika - but you of all people should know that a bunch of Aussie "rugby fans" can't look at this any more rationally than they can Quade Cooper's faults, or Kurtley's evil strategy to get Link fired.
Queenslanders. I'm talking about Queenslanders.

@Stargazer said in Aussie Rugby:
@Machpants I'm nowhere saying that rugby is perfect, players are human after all, but league is notorious for thuggish behaviour in a way that rugby is not.
Admittedly this has regressed somewhat since Craig Gower retired.

True, but I'm after commentators who can offer insights rather than calling what I can see. I also don't want them to carry grievances or be constantly negative.
Chieka's coaching experience could be valuable as part of the commentary team. I'm prepared to give him a chance, certainly more than I'd give Campo.
