Next rugby player to the NFL
Too small and not mobile enough for the position he’d play in NFL

this is a really interesting problem, if Tuilagi goes any lower there he's basically aiming at the knees which having seen two horrendous injuries in the GP this weekend, makes me feel sick. Dipping your head that much into contact as the ball carrier is somewhat instinctive but definitely causes the head impact - not sure how realistic it is to change the laws to punish the ball carrier though

It's been a thing in club rugby here for at least a couple of seasons - late dip by the ball carrier isn't allowed - can't remember what the sanction is though as it's very rarely called.

Head contact but no foul play. The tackler bent at the hips and was attempting a wrap
So a 'No fault' head contact

knew is was being talked about, didn't know they'd actually started punishing it. Been a while since i ran around on a rugby field, and to be fair if i did, would spend about 60% of my time doubled over at the waist trying not to throw up
That's probably why I can't remember.

Think this is a really retrograde step, a big break from what makes rugby grounds so special and a big danger we end up with Soccer style supporter issues.

@Victor-Meldrew that's retarded.

I can't see how it's going to attract more people.

Some of my best memroies, fuzzy as they are, are with opposition supporters in the crowd. Banter and stuff. How dumb.
I remember being at the cake tin game where SA came back with a ton of tries to beat us, and the sheer joy of the boks around us made it a great thing - this was after the North Harbour debacle etc. You'll totally miss out on that, what a pile of crap

I disagree actually, when you go away with your club it’s so much better to be surrounded by your own fans. I think there’s no risk of football like trouble, but I think the atmosphere in stadiums will improve which is good for everyone. It doesn’t mean you have to sit in the ‘away end’, it just means you can. There’ll still be plenty of opportunity to mix before, at half time and after games
