@bones I often wonder why the ref doesn't just keep the play going and those that want to play play and those that want to fight keep on fighting. It could lead to tries being scored simply as a result of uneveness in numbers wanting to play and if it was your side that conceded points then you only have yourselves to point the finger at.
If the brawlers are in the way of, for example, a scrum restart well simply move the scrum ten metres away and get on with play. If some of the brawlers later get in the way or impede those still playing then award a penalty for shepherding, or obstruction or man in front or something like that against the offending team and keep on playing. When the brawlers stop you can then be dealt with at the next break in play.
A bit of left field thinking I know, but it might work. -

I assumed he was referring to the victim... aren't Racing 92 famous for boozing it up during games... champagne at half-time and what-not?

The good old days. Not so much now would be my guess

@stargazer 11 weeks seems awfully lenient to me for that.

Anyone watched those second leg games of Heineken Cup last week? By geez there was some bloody good games. Everything from the Leinster/Connacht, Harlequins/Montepelier, Bristol/Sale etc, I loved the games. It almost a shame it's happening while Super is on as so much to try and see, even I struggling to watch it all, and I got heaps of time!

The Quins v Montpellier game was pretty good. Nip and tuck and some great tries. Felt sorry for Smith who missed a sitter that would have won the tie. Predictably enough, some sections of the UK press have jumped on this and are now suggesting his England career is finished 🙄
