A staggering result in the second tier of the English Championship with Ealing defeating London Scottish 81 - 00. What the surprising aspect of that is the Scots were the home team. Surely that must be some sort of record defeat by a team playing on their home ground? It does not appear that any of the Scots were red carded to contribute to such a massive sporran plucking.

There is a really wide gulf in the Championship. Clubs have to apply for promotion before they even qualify for promotion. Only two clubs applied this season, which I think shows the lack of ambition or should that just read realistic? Anyway both clubs, Ealing and Doncaster have been refused promotion regardless of their qualification due in the main to lack of capacity at their grounds. Whilst I can understand this, it does pose the problem of needing huge investment in the hope of getting promoted. What to do with a 10k capacity stadium if you then get stuck with crowds of 500 in the Championship?

@catogrande I can't help but think it should be down to championship at least, regardless of how much you blow out. Makes a mockery otherwise.

I agree but it seems like the RFU is still run like an old boys club. The right cries, the right ties and if you immediately say sorry sir then “we can sort this out between us”. Sarries we’re always the big spending, brash upstarts and didn’t immediately bend over for 6 of the best.

One law for them, one law for him.
There is a reason why the fans are moaning more about the refs and law application.

lol
why should he change. He whacks blokes and never gets sanctioned.

@machpants Absolutely no intention to make a tackle.
One of many such actions, and almost never called up for it

Have been going through the Top League One media releases and noticed that Isi Manu has already had two yellow cards and a citing commissioner warning (=equivalent of a yellow card) in the short time he's been there. For context, he's played 5 matches. One match suspended.
I remember him getting a red card in the NPC. Is he a muppet or a thug?

That’s quite astounding in itself. He’s now got such a rep for it, you’d think the officials would be a little more vigilant. Yesterday’s was pretty clear cut no arms.
