Lincoln McClutchie will be thrown into the deep end by the Red Hurricanes in only his second game for the team. He'll start this afternoon's game against Kobe Kobelco Steelers, marking nobody less than Dan Carter. They've shifted Marty Banks to 12.
The Red Hurricanes aren't among the best Top League sides, so I expect a big win for Kobe. But great for McClutchie to be able to play against someone who will undoubtedly be one of his greatest examples/heroes.
Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find a way to watch this game.

@taniwharugby thing is, they're the ones telling everyone about their indiscretions!
-
@Machpants That’s pretty shocking. You do wonder how much CVC have to do with such a decision.

Was wondering what impact if any this might have on the SH Exodus, so scanning a few squad lists.
Seems like the answer is not much.
I did, however, find 41 year old Mark Bright still listed among the players for London Scottish!

Two million a year? Shit, might have to drop a player I guess.

Jamie George has said he is staying at Saracens.
Lots of them have said they're staying, but if the Championship carry out their threat of a salary cap, they won't. And until signings are announced who knows? With what the RFU have just done with payments to the Championship, the clubs there won;t be able to afford decent players, so the cream will leave. So how does playing what amounts to an NPC level comp do for your Eng & Lions ambitions?

Tipped to be heading back to Wales to coach the Ospreys.
Stepping stone to Welsh coach.
If that comes to pass, then
Welsh player, Welsh captain, Welsh coach
Not many (if any) of those.
