It makes more sense to me to go Barrett-Barrett-Proctor.

Beggar's belief people still go on about Rieko on the wing but are happy to see Jordan at fullback.

    Is De Groot injured?

Probably not fit as he usually isn't these days the slug. I'd take him over Tu'ungafasi if he was at proper pro rugby fitness and probably move Williams to the bench.

Has Tosi over taken Newell? Good if so. Newell's a better scrummager no doubt, but there's more upside to Tosi coming off the bench.

I'd also swap McKenzie and Barrett but other than that, I don't actually mind the side too much. Dare I say probably the best side they could have put out?

@African-Monkey I mean if you're going to go off on EdG being unfit, I would hope you prefer Tosi over Newell!

Newell is the ginger Nepo Laulala.

@African-Monkey he might be even less agile and makes Laulala look like ALB when it comes to ball handling.

We need a « you know » ometer for Robertsons press conferences.

    Stoked there is no TJP.

Backline 10 12 13 still very uninspiring...solid D I guess.....but not known as creative on attack and 12 13 just don't put others in space nearly enough... And no one better currently which is even more of a concern.

This game could be a dour wet weather match with out the wet 🙄

Any Ferner representation at Allianz Stadium on Sat? I recently decided to go, to catch up with mates. I believe it’s sold out but managed to get tickets at face value on the members only RFU ticket resale site. Getting relatively expensive with basic Cat 4 el cheapo at 99 quid, increasing by 30 quid for each subsequent category.

@Daffy-Jaffy I’m disappointed that Surfboard Jesus doesn’t appear to be a man amongst men (or boys) when in front of the media. Always seems nervous. Was he the same at the Saders or do I remember differently? Bit of the old Ron Manager (IYKYK) about him.

@game_film Foster was the same. Is an All Blacks coach who can answer the press' questions in a calm, confident and authoritative manner too much to ask for?

He wasn't really under any pressure from the media at the Crusaders.

I just thought he came across as nervous and not very eloquent or on top of the detail.

Sammy Cane and Jordie Barrett did a better job.

@African-Monkey Those were all fairly predictable questions at the press conference that he should have been able to knock away to the boundary. Did he not practice with the media officer beforehand?

@sparky Joe Marler question and what should have been the answer….

“I know Joe. It’s great that we have outspoken characters like him in the game. Everyone is free to respond to the Haka however they want. And we’ll respond accordingly. Nobody ever mentions it until we come on tour to the Northern Hemisphere and then whether it’s Joe, Matt Dawson or anybody else it gives you something to talk about until 3pm on Saturday and then everyone forgets about it completely and the game kicks off. Rugby is full of stories about responses to the Haka, whether it was England in 2019, France in 2007, or behind closed doors in Cardiff. If we binned it what would the media chat about between now and kick off? There’s a reason our games sell out up here and other countries don’t. It’s the black jersey, it’s the Haka, it’s the way we play. Rugby needs to sell as many tickets as possible and well done to Joe for bringing it up again so the world can be reminded what sets All Blacks games apart.’’
