I always found the DM thing absolutely ridiculous. Very surprised Lucas signed off on that. You get run through with a lightsaber that has to be the end. It's an absolute pisstake now and anyone who claims otherwise is delusional.
The Force is what gives a Jedi his power. It's an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us and penetrates us. It binds the galaxy together. Surely it can transform the molecules around a lightsaber?
Sure ok. Now it miraculously forms a force field around vital organs when stabbed through the guts. Funny Master Qui Gon didn't have this power. Yes it's fantasy, scifi etc etc. But when you are stabbed through the body with a laser sword that melts steel you are fůcked. This is SW not Highlander FFS.

Yoda could heal people and he doesn't even try.

Don't recall him healing anyone who had been impaled by a lightsaber but ok.

I finally watched the Acolyte. Poor. Just poor. Badly written, I didn't really bond with any of the characters. What an expensive waste produced by Kathryn Kennedy again.
By contrast, I finished The Bad Batch last night. Very good series, dovetailed in nicely to the main SW storyline. Dave Filoni just gets it

its strange because i was the opposite, i wanted to like the bad batch and i did like the idea of "what happened to all the old clones"....i just kind of didn;t connect much...
and the Acolyte...
there was definitely poor acting....but i liked the stranger and his motivation to just be what he is...but because the jedi say he cant exist then he's taking a stand....and the fact he's obviously being manipulated by darth plagueis....also liked the idea there were jedi too proud to admit they made mistake they covered up massacres.....and i loved the arrival/reveal of the strager and subsequent fightim disappoint its been cancelled as i feel they could have take the good stuff and spun it out...the really bad actors are all dead!
I really wish they just hadnt seeded things like darth plagueis until they knew it was getting renewed....could have done that same intro in a "epilogue"....same scene from the different angle ie looking out of the cave
-
@Kiwiwomble the bit about the stranger had potential. Giving us another angle on the force, the Sith and the Jedi. They just didn't do a great job of trying to turn the dynamic on its head
-
good for them, think ive only read one book and one comic/graphic novel so doubt i'll even come across them
-
-
Skeleton Crew - I like it, kids show (ive always liked jude law)...very much goonies in the star wars universe after the first two episdodes
also, downloaded "force unleashed" as was only $15..really cool story im once again annoyed they havent adapted into a movie or show when other lesser stories have been

Finally got round to watch Ahsoka, didn't hate it, which is high praise given Filoni.
Pity that Ray Stevenson wont be in any more seasons going forward.
I'm slightly interested in watching Rebels now to see how all the characters fit in.
theyve recasted...really hope he nails this....dont reinvent the role (like when Mikkelsen replaced depp in harry potter)...spend your time learning how to replicate Ray Stevenson and finish his story

f I want to watch the Star Wars stuff that's not the mainstream movies, is there a particular order I should watch in?
At the beginning you should start….
