Sexton's send off

@MajorRage watching this video really brings into perspective how pathetic the Irish rugby players are. The current crop couldn’t get it done despite all the bleating and the old heads vicariously living through them after a life time of 30+ point thrashings just can’t handle it.
Sextons career is a history of failures and almost wins. Failed with Ireland, failed with Leinster (in the comps that weren’t second rate domestic comps).
Ridiculous group of players.

Hmmm. Not that I like the bloke but credit where credit is due.
One European Cup and two runners up with Leinster. 5 6N titles including two Grand Slams with Ireland. 2 Lions tours, one series win and one series draw. World rugby player of the year year in 2018.
Not exactly a history of failures.
Edit: And I forgot a series win in NZ.

I totally applaud both sides in this, both muppets I'm sure but the game needs vocal muppets. Lets get a bit of niggle back, lets build up some personalities and some fake 'beefs'. The game needs head to head battles, a bit of controversy. The whole rugby culture of keeping quiet and doing the work and not getting above yourselves is all very well but it will never grow the game.

So, in short, rile up the dickheads, and bring back the biff!

@Bones 100%. The funniest thing the ABs can do is to keep getting owned by Ireland between World Cups, dump them out in the quarters and then leave the Cup to its rightful owners.
Rightful owners? Sounds a bit colonial, old boy....
But it can't be the English, because they were the first to cheat. It can't be the French because they eat garlic in bed. It can't be Australia because their main contribution to world sport is Olympic breakdancing. It can't be the Irish as they'd run out of life support systems for their midfielders. It can't be Wales because they haven't seen rugby for years, or Scotland, because of the wool burns. And it certainly can't be South Africa because they spurned two Rugby World Cups so obviously have commitment issues.
So New Zealand it is! -

I think "funniest" translates different in Afrikaans.

Worst players, worst fans. Irish rugby is a self righteous collection of chippy idiots. Awful people.
They're just shit Clive Woodward fans.

From what I read, I not keen on what Ioane said (if it is true etc), but neither am I keen on Sexton writing about it in book.
Bit of dickheads x 2 too me.I was quite happy with it Danny!

So am I mate, but still just sounds like a couple of dickheads. Like the Irish player that called Cane a poor Richie McCaw or whatever, quite happy with people making dickhead type comments etc when fired up etc. Still is kind of dickhead, but I wasn't always polite when I played and fired up either, nor players I was against, only we laughed about it later over a beer usually.
Thank god Sexton etc didn't play cricket eh Grubs, imagine the upset at sleging there.

Careful. We have a no dickheads policy here.

Damn - you guys better win in ireland on the EOYT
Basically irrelevant.
Rieko lives in Johnny's head forever more.
And so it was thus.(rather like that poor Bok player who had Johnny scream in his ear "Haaaaaaaaa!!!" as they scored in their victory against the Boks in Dublin, 2022)
Don't think ireland have ever won a series against South Africa. I mean Ireland. The jonny come latelys to serious rugby.

Sounds like he's not a fan of Gatland going by a headline I saw today.
To be fair, Gatland is a marmite coach. He’s given Wales some great success (and some dross-check out the ups and downs in the 6N), has a 50/50 Lions record which stands up very well but even then there are many (I put my hand up here) that feel his brand of non-rugby is a pretty hard watch and whilst it may have sometimes played to Wales’ strengths, was a handbrake with the Lions.
But what the fuck do I know?

Is there someone other than himself he is a fan of?
