All Blacks EOYT

If we start with the TRC squad of 36 and allow for a EOYT squad of 36 it’s plaIn there’ll be minimal change.
Seems unlikely to be any changes in backs other than at 9. Roigard back for Hotham. I’d swap Christie in for TJS but Raz clearly loves his hairstyle.
In forwards any changes would seem only to be in loosies. Cane in/out could open space for Lakai. Otherwise Finau most at risk, but logic would dictate another taller loosie, and only Sotutu and Grace come to mind. Probably the most room for a bolter. -

You guys are going to love this one.
Expect to see TJ Perenara on the EOYT according to the extremely reliable contact. He will not be going to Japan until December because he’s going on the end of year tour.
Anything else I hear I’ll continue to throw in between now and then. I hope this isn’t true as much as the rest of you but as I always say, I’ll post anything juicy that’s worth sharing.
That should mean Hotham with the ABXV
Edit: that will learn me for commenting without reading the posts below.
Actually, fuck it, this is the fern and reading is optional.

@george33 I think Hoskins super rugby form deserved an All Blacks selection, but to be honest I don't think that form has carried over well into NPC. He was the star of super rugby but hasn't provided much more to his case for All Blacks selection through his play at Counties.
-
If Hoskins misses out on one of these squads there should be an uproar.
There won't be though, NZ sports journalism are weak gutted dogs. I hate NSW rugby league journalism but when something needs to be investigated, they will at least turn the place upside down, even if it isn't a real story (unless one of their own is getting thumped under a tree in Balmain)
As for no NPC form, last start against Wellington demonstrated more ability than many eights have done in the NPC this season. Good coaches should be able to get consistency from these players, he is a major talent

I think this is the most untrue thing I've ever read on this website... see .47 into this video!
My favourite rugby league video ever!

It would make quite the statement if, having been happy to pick two woman beaters, the AB selection gurus declined to recognise Hoss’s potential because of the cut of his jib.
If I were McMillan, who has just unlocked the potential of Sititi, I’d be adamant that I wanted to get my hands on Hoss. -

There was a journalistic investigation which is what I am after here, but like most sporting organizations the NRL didnt take it further . It would be great if NZ rugby journos were not afraid of having an opinion or asking a tough question.
I love that video too

Sotutu I think has grown into the NPC after a slow start. In his favour, is that Sititi was initially picked I think as a development 8, but injuries hit, he took his chance and now he is the preferred blindside. The way Ryan has traditionally picked the forwards is with specialists in mind, so they may want another number eight.

injuries hit or the new 6s weren't that impressive? Yeah, I can imagine Razor continuing with EB if he wasn't an injury magnet but it is not as if his injury prone state is a new thing!

Bit of both. Blackadder got injured, and Finau paid the price for that shocking cameo in the first test v the Boks.

@Landers92 I reckon Sam Cane is going as well.

You’re usually a very good source. Any word on changes to the mix?
