Jase Ryan talking up Tupou Vaa'i - absolutely loves him.
Expect to see him starting ahead of Darry.Yep. I don’t think that was ever in doubt with PT unavailable. Hinton putting Darry ahead of him is fantasy stuff.

@Machpants is a tough one really, I mean i have no issues with the head coach wanting to pit together his coaching team and expect Leon was always top of Razors list, meaning he was likely not gonna go to the likes of Brown unless Leon knocked him back.
That said, I expect the whole point of the coach putting his team together is to avoid what happened with Fozzie and now Leon.
Here's some further fuel to the flames.
“If you’re not better now than you were last year, you’ve got a problem,” said Kriel of NZ.
The big thing for us is that we want to stay ahead of the curve and keep working on our individual skills to get better. I definitely believe we’re a better team than we were last year.
Kriel has given credit to the impact of Kiwi Tony Brown – the attack coach under Rassie Erasmus this year."

throwing him in against South Africa at Ellis Park after only one test would be moronic
So you're saying he's not good enough?

The ABs have to seize the initiative early and put the rookie 10 under serious pressure, then once Pollard comes on kick intelligently, win the territory battle and avoid giving away penalties.
Get it right and the ABs will rock the Boks' world and give them a famous beating.
Sit back, be passive, even switch off and we've seen this movie before.

@sparky I know BJD very well. He root from Paul Roos x Head boy. He played lock and 7 flank all his career and very similar to PSdT. High work rate and and a tough customer.

-
Have watched B-JD play for the Stormers both at lock and blindside. He’s a decent player but is still learning as a test player.
I think they are vulnerable at halfback.
-
He sounds very laboured with his breathing.
-
Two years ago BJD still lived in Paul Roos boarding school, coached two school teams on the same day he played in the URC final against Munster. Finished his studies first at US as industrial engineer before playing full time rugby.
