Ethan is too slow to get to rucks.
At least he’s done a lot tonight. Haven’t noticed Dalton.
Ethan = Poor Man's McCaw
Dalton = Poor Man's Cane
I noticed DP when he hit hard 3 times in a row with Argentina hot on attack.
Yes, phrasing.

Yeah unimpressed with that. Couldn’t get 50. It’s one thing to win super rugby trophies, test match footy is another beast. Really needs a cotter and Schmidt coaching ticket. Savea - hopeless. Need sotutu. Need akira. Perenara - hopeless, ratima should have started. Williams - hopeless. Just a token cantab selection. Need more mongrel and physicality.
Ratima starts = 50
It's not difficult -

The whole pack has stood up tonight.
.... hmmm is this the mini bomb squad or something?
If we could get over ourselves, and accept that we don't always have to be "The Entertainers" who play rugby "the right way", we could be a set piece and counter attack oriented dominant force.
What annoys me is when we are 20 ahead with 20 mins to go we go into entertainment mode and the structure turns to shite.
Good scrums, good ball retention, no offsides and no knock ons is entertainment. -
The referee made two errors against the New Zealanders : the penalty for Matera's turnover and the harsh one against Mighty Williams in the scrum, when the Argentine THP had clearly lost his bind. Otherwise, I thought he was pretty good. His decisions were clear and he let the game flow.

Really good from the starting XV apart from Reiko Ioane
Habullshit.
Or shall we just ignore the lack of change out wide for Argentina, the extra space out wide for black, the fuck all line breaks and turnovers in the midfield?
Rieko was once again completely mediocre and should have no place in the starting 15 currently.
On attack today, from the midfielders and outside backs he had the 2nd most carries but had..
-the least metres made
-0 linebreaks (every other back made at least 1)
-0 defenders beaten (every other back had at least 2)On defense, from all the backs he had..
-the 2nd least tackles made (only 2 tackles made)He conceded the most turnovers of possession of anyone in the entire team today (3).
Mediocre to near bad game in a dominant win.
ALB who came on late made more metres and beat more defenders than Rieko with less than half the carries Rieko had.
He also made more than 2x the tackles in the time he had.
So I'm REALLY struggling to see what value if ANY that Rieko is bringing currently.

I wouldn’t been against that as it looks as though he could be squeezed out of the lock quartet.
Tbf to him he does look better at this level this year.
He would need to add some bulk up which is just a bit of time to do so.
He would definitely need to move there for the Chiefs obviously but then he has Finau in front of him.
-
Will Jordan may get there first. 33 tries in 33 Tests is an amazing strike rate.

Any scrum experts on that penalty?
At 38. Didn't look as though Tamaiti was pushing down. May be that Codie was angling down on Puma tighthead, who looked to me like he hinged. @nta?

@kpkanz so our starting centre was selfless and created all that space for the other backs? My man!
So he was selfless and created all that space...but he had the 2nd most carries and at the same time was completely useless offensively.
You claimed he was a defensive powerhouse..
but he had the 2nd least tackles made of any back. You claimed he was the primary factor in cleaning up the turnovers in midfield..
but he conceded the most turnovers of possession of anyone in the entire team.hmmmmm

Fuck me 5 changes at once
Let's watch the AB intensity dissipate...

You mean 'mini-bomb' squad?

You claimed he was a defensive powerhouse..
I swear reading comprehension isn't taught in schools anymore.
You brought up how there were no linebreaks/turnovers insinuating this was Riekos doing.
So you agree he was ineffectual in attack, conceded the most turnovers and was a spectator in defense with a grand total of 2 tackles all game.

@DaGrubster He seems to be retaining his pace. Hopefully, he'll still be a quality player into his 30s.
