imagine being the only openside in the country who can't get selected? soul destroying.
And behind Jacobsen at that.....
-
So who plays 8 if Savea gets injured? Imagine Cane running off the back of a scrum.

I can’t wait to see what impact an ageing Sam Cane brings to the table
Should have kept Sititi on the bench, he's been one of the bright lights.
What I noticed last week and @pakman detailed review also highlighted it especially when I watched it a second time was that pace to the ruck in the last quarter is still very important.
Sititi was very good at getting to the spots we needed but his inaccuracy was costly. i don’t know if that is the reason he has been rotated out but bringing in a guy who’s accuracy has been a feature of his play over many years isn’t a bad idea.
This 11-15 was pretty successful last year and now that every one is over their injuries hopefully they can be a little more accurate.
Very surprised by the TJP selection. But that’s a story for another day.

Based on last week he had the brightness of a glow worm at 500m. Behind a shade cloth.

I note the hugely underwhelming big dumb lump at 12 remains completely imune from accountability?
Razor has backed himself into a corner by making Jordie vice captain and without captain Scott Barrett around he's even less likely to drop Jordie
-
Scott Robertson:
“We’ve reflected deeply on our performance and our preparation individually and collectively is something we have all owned. Our intent and focus has shifted solely to Eden Park.”Would be interesting to know whether the overall preparation last week was as "bone deep" as it should have been.
If not, I'm sure it'll emerge in a book one day...

I have a bit of sympathy for him in that he was asked to play at 6 (leaving Aride free at 8 to throw wild passes of clean lineout ball into no-man's land) where he hasn't played all year so it's unfortunate but not surprising he was inaccurate.
Lets just say I feel he wasn't set up for success that night.

My takeaways from the starting XV.
I like the balance of the wingers better than Telea and Reece. Clarke and Jordan offer the Julian Savea/Ben Smith type balance.
Would you not start Ofa at loose head considering he’s been playing and Tamaiti hasn’t? Or are we just are just going throw another crusader straight into the starting xv who hasn’t played a lot of minutes at all this year….. not a shock. Thought having experience on the field would be a big thing in this game seeing as they harp on about how you can’t replace experience.
Shocked TJP is still starting, would prefer Ratima but I guess this is his chance to step up as a leader and prove why he should still be in the 23.
A shame De Groot has hurt his neck. Hope it isn’t serious.

I know we are all upset about the loss last week and certain selections have question marks on them for us fans, but come on, Razor’s hardy the first coach that has named a VC and said VC (or even captain) has been in a form rut and still been selected.
I even recall when there were calls for McCaw to be replaced by Cane as the starting openside but Henry “had made his bed” with McCaw as captain. Remember the same with Bender too when he was VC and calls for him to not be selected.
Either we don’t have captains or vice captains so auto selection will never be an issue or we just back that guys in those positions will lift. Jordie needs to be a bit more assertive like we saw last year.

And that experience is very valuable to close out a test.
Williams is ready to go and I think we need more ball carrying from the tight 5.

Backs against the wall stuff ,
Going to be interesting to see how they respond, us
Then I guess it will be interesting to see how the argies back up as well , good chance they might be a bit flat compared to last week .

pretty sure we'll win well, as that's the pattern. And the cracks will be nicely papered.

I expect about a 20 point margin
