Izzy Dagg on the RWC special: ‘’NZ Rugby should throw the kitchen sink at Shannon Frizell because he is a player for the future’’

    30 seconds later

‘Izzy, are you saying they should buy him out of his Japanese deal?’

Proof positive that a fancy private boarding school education isn't always the best.

On this topic, what is the Aussie show doing still persisting with SBW? I watched Matt Roger’s on the Aussie at home WC show and I was actually stunned at how good he was, probably the best I’ve seen on one of these types of shows, outstanding analysis.

@Stag I reckon SBW is a good one to have for interviews (with a producer in his ear) as players will open up to him, but commentary or punditry not really his bag.

Absolute comedy in the latest edition of The Breakdown.

A discussion about whether Antonie Dupont is the Greatest Of All Time (one many experts of the game are having) turned into a discussion about whether Richie Mo'unga is the Greatest of All Time. 🤦‍♂️

He's not even the best Richie of all time

makes your brain rot watching them. It's crazy how lacking rugby media is. There's not much out there for fans

I don't watch the Breakdown but Mo wouldn't even crack a top 50 NZ greatest of all time.

Yeah, come at me Cantabs. 😉

That wasn’t Wilson was it? Richie Mo I’d arguably the most successful (not greatest) Super player of all time but international footy, hell no.

I still argue that Sam Whitelock was more influential to the Saders than Mo’unga.

Mo'unga is the third best Crusaders ten of all time, that's about it.

    Bump.

I see that Sky and JK have parted ways. It could be a good thing.

Kirwan seems like a nice guy. Punditry and commentary did not suit him.

I don’t mind Kirwan, love his honesty. No doubt they would have replaced him just to tick another box.

I’d love to see the demographic breakdown (pardon the pun) of those who regularly watch shows like The Breakdown and their ilk in the UK

Are the presenters and pundits representative of the audience?

I’ve got a great JK story, which long story short, involved him helping me look cool enough that I ended getting laid with a very good looking young lass.

All I can say is that sometimes it is nice to meet your heroes.

Think my time spent watching the show has diminished over time, but when I did tune in it was to hear what JK said. Mils doesn’t really say anything new and Goldie was a good foil for JK. The other rotating guests were always a bit hesitant or nice, or played the joker card.

Always good to move on a year early rather than a year late in any media position.

I thought JK was decent. Shame if they replace him with another vanilla fanboy.

JK does dress a bit like a pimp sometimes
