The rest of that Aus Men's team should fellate Kyle Chalmers. Didn't have a prayer without him. Dressel absolutely phoned it in.

At least these were proper swimming events. Get from here to there as fast as you can, not using weird artificial construct where you're obliged to swim slow.
That has always annoyed me about swimming events.
Based on that logic track and field should have crawling, hopping on one leg, skipping, walking on hands etc.

Just playing devils advocate here but what about Olympic walking and hurdles? Also a multitude of those cycling events. Wtf is a Kieran?
I guess you could also argue the same about weight classes in lifting, wrestling etc.
Butterfly does give me a horn. Beautiful to watch and farking hard to do. But would agree it should not be a dedicated event. Medley is fair though a think.

Good point. Completely forgot about that given it is a forgettable event.
This guy is obviously brilliant at what he does, but what he does just looks so darn silly to me, why not just become a runner instead ?

We should have more Olympic sports that we are good at - and would be much better spectacles than most things that are currently in.
Things like the cricket ball throw, Forceback and Bullrush.
Bullrush would be a great Olympic sport - scored like a cycling points race, with each competitor taking a turn in the middle. Full of intrigue and strategy.

Lewis Clareburt qualifies for the 400IM final, but way back. Isn't he the reigning world champion?
The swimming World Championships this year didn't hold that much weight - swimmers are gearing up to peak now - not in Feb. Marchand wasn't even there

Somewhat off topic but 2028 Olympics
Source wiki: “After debuting in 2020 as optional events, skateboarding, sport climbing, and surfing have been promoted to the Summer Olympics' "core" event program. Boxing, modern pentathlon, and weightlifting had been provisionally removed due to governance issues; modern pentathlon and weightlifting were later reinstated following reform efforts, with the former expected to employ a new format replacing show jumping with obstacle course racing, while the decision on boxing was postponed. The 2028 Games will feature the debut of flag football and squash as optional sports, joined by the return of baseball/softball, cricket (for the first time since 1900) and lacrosse (for the first time since 1908).”
Cricket!
