All Blacks vs England I
-
Looked like a continuation of the Fozzie era to me.
No noticeable changes in game plan really, except for our first try, where we worked bloody hard in closer before sending it wide.
Unfortunately there was way too much of going sideways, ruck, sideways again, ruck, sideways once more, then kick aimlessly away and let England chew up easy metres on the counter attack.
Thought both wingers were busy, and did the best with the shitty ball they were getting.
TJ was great, sucks he’s injured again, as now we’re stuck with Christie. Positive is now there is no option, Ratima will get game time.
Thought both locks got stuck in, Papalii was hitting anything that moved, Aumua good when he got on, the rest of the pack a bit meh.
Perofeta went better than expected.
And fuck that ref made some very interesting calls / non calls.
Take the win (could have very easily been a loss), hope to start seeing some innovation with the game plan and improvement in physicality from here on in.

Well said.

People are talking nonsense here if they think there's no difference to the Foster era from tonights game.
Also the blatant disregard of the quality of the English team, this is a really good England team who beat Ireland 2 games ago and were about to beat France in France if not for a penalty right on full time.
To beat them first up with a brand new coaching setup and all the noise that would have come with it is extremely impressive.
I'm also amazed at some people here genuinely asking for Plummer over Dmac.

Shit that pissed me off for the last few years:
Rubbish kick chase
No ruck pressureTonight was exactly the same. Fucking trash.
-
@mariner4life They actually did it at the end of the game, but there was a long period of aimless kicking.
-
I know it's generally negative but I thought that was a great game of rugby. Both teams had a real crack, and in the main the accuracy was high.
We won which is awesome. And it was miles in front of the next game.
Congratulations to the ABs on a good win

@Gunner Please link ONE game under Foster against a northern rush defense that we found that much space out wide.
Not even close, I have not seen us create that level of space since before the Lions came down in 2017 and suffocated us with their defense, which was to be a precursor for the next 8 years of games against northern opposition.

Also, they’ve only had a couple of weeks together under the new coaching regime. Jesus, give them some time before passing final judgement.

You talking to us or praying to Razor?
-
It's not Foster v Razor
It's DMac has a better passing game than BB and Mo'unga and thus we unlocked it
I'm still astounded that he's copping shit playing 10 outside a beaten pack and rubbish halfbacks.the boy is a wizard

@nostrildamus time will tell if he’s the Messiah

@mariner4life The performances of 1 through 9, and the structures were more important, but he spent most of the game putting in mediocre kicks or delivering passes to players under pressure. It was not a very good performance. Which made him no different to most of the players, but under pressure he wasn't putting us in good field position.

Riiiiight
Tell me again about how Dalton is a genuine 7
-
-
There are no genuine sevens now. Who plays one? Everyone is a hybrid now. What do you want, a "link player" from 2008?
Opensides tackle and hit rucks. Jackling is great, and ball carrying is a bonus. A good game plan connects them with their carriers, and positions them to have the most impact on defence.
