@Kirwan it’s a great squad. Just not the players you like.

For those that wanted change, this is what it looks like. No great surprises to me, except the inclusion of Perofeta, and the bolters (Sititi, Tosi).

Blackadder, Bell, Sititi, Perofeta, Vaai are the worst picks IMO. Each one has a better option.

Um bladder and sititi, who? Sotutu and....

    Akira obviously

Ah good point, I discounted him as he's off

The theory being the reason he is off is cos he got the word....

his presser was someone making a decision they hated but made financial sense.

And he was clearly gutted. Imagine an always injured Crusader getting picked over you after three games, particuarly as he had his best season playing the tight rugby they asked him to play.

    Five uncapped players:

    Tosi, Bell, Sititi, Ratima, Proctor.

    Congratulations to them!

you can tell it's a controversial squad naming when nobody's questioning how Christie got back in.

    Remember

This is the first squad only

Ted's first squad in 2004 had Xavier Rush in it.

Luke Jacobson, Wallace Sititi and Ethan Blackadder very lucky.

Should be Hoskins Sotutu, Akira Ioane and Peter Lakai.

A starting loose trio of Finau, Papali’i and Savea for England 1 could do the business

    7 Crusaders. And the Captain

Image if they had won again

Absolutely gutted for Grace, Lio-Willie, Hannah, Hotham, Havili, McLeod and Fihaki. They were very hard done by.

I’m going to wait until after the first game before I make any conclusions. So many toys out of the cot.

This reminds me of the good old days of Robinson being picked over Umaga.

Blues lock Sam Darry, Hurricanes outside back Ruben Love and the Crusaders pair of prop George Bower and midfielder David Havili will also assemble with the squad as cover.

Dropped the starting number 8 from the previous season to the bench as a result too.

    These one-eyed Blues coaches…

So no Love as I said… Ahhh the old mindless speculation and half truths ae!

Anyway, Ruben Love is injury cover for Caleb Clarke.

How Perofeta has made it over Love is beyond me but hey there’s a player in Perofeta so hopefully they can get the best out of him.

Really feel for Hoskins, no idea what more he needs to do. Possibly another Blackadder injury or a knock to Sititi/Jacobsen and he could get the call up? Either way, he should be in the 32.
