Can't see Lomax playing
Lol why do you make statements and then never have any substance to back anything up what so ever?
My understanding from my source is that Lomax is available this week, a huge boost for the Canes. He trained last week and put down a few scrums reminding everyone who's top dog in that area. For me he could be the difference maker on Saturday night due to his dominance.
Flanders would be unlucky to not start this week
But if he does miss out starting, he should miss out completely. No more having a short replacement lock bullshit (we had enough of this crap in previous years). It's also risky only having 2 backs in the reserves. So, either Flanders or Shields. Not both.
RE Lomax starting. George is just having a laugh (as with Roigard) but it's possible he might not be fit (anyone saying this has a chance of being correct). It would turn a strength into a weakness as Lauaki is not even close to being ready.

I’m hoping Delany is available, he would be the guy to bring off the bench as he can cover lock and 6. If we can get him back, along with Lomax and Love, that should plug a few spots.
I wouldn’t mind dropping Sullivan or Naholo off the bench and having a lock and two loosies I.e Delany, Flanders and Kirifi as I think it will be bloody physical.

Saying someone is 50/50 to play is a bet each way. They play and you weren't wrong, they don't play and you weren't wrong.
-
Cool to see former Scotland halfback Greig Laidlaw in the camp this week.

Numia confirmed as out via his IG post.
Damn. Pretty gutted we won't see Numia, Aumua and Lomax suit up together again this season.
Not surprised at all at that news after seeing him take 15 mins to get down the tunnel on Saturday. He will be out for a while but I think he's proven enough this year to be in the AB frame when he comes back.

Fair point about not having a short lock, but of the two I'd take Flanders - he's just better across the park.
Interestingly, Flanders and Shields are basically the only lineout options the Canes run apart from their locks. Lose and Lakai are in the bottom third of NZ loose forwards for lineout stats according to super.rugby

Who’s your source on Ruben Love? Anyone could come out and say that any player carrying a niggle is 50/50….

Taking a look at the seats already snapped up for this game, there looks to be about 21k odd tickets sold already. Hopefully that continues to climb as we edge closer to Saturday but I think a crowd of close to 30k will be a huge win.
-
@Canes4life keep in mind the bottom left corner is the closed off area.
So it looks like those are sold out on the map when they're just not available to purchase yet. They will become available if the other 3/4s start to get close to sellng out.

Yeah I noted that, from the tickets already sold in the other areas I've just estimated that 20-21k looked to have been sold already.

@Canes4life here's hoping we get close to 30K. A bit disappointing it's not close to an instant sell out tbh.

@foobaNZ yeah it is a bit, I'd say if we make it through to the final though it will sell out rapidly.
