Dale Steyn is a sensational bowler. I could watch him all day, just magic what he does with the ball.

It also helps that he is the identical twin of Gary Oldman in the Fifth Element :)

Looks like NZ might have had a little bit of luck. Was sunny all day yesterday but the outfield didn't drain well after the rain so no play.

If they play tonight, then hopefully batting conditions will be good and the pitch will be easier to play on after baking in the sun. A nice 2nd/3rd day pitch. -

I hope we can get through the first 12-14 overs - RSA change bowlers may not have the conmtrol of Steyn/Philanderer

Yeah, Rabada is a complete hack, worst kind of quota. Who knows maybe one day he will grow into a decent journeyman. - http://www.espncricinfo.com/southafrica/content/player/550215.html
-

Still reckon it will be hard work for our batsmen.

No real chance for extended hours of play I hear as sun sets pretty early this time of year.

Not sure why they are playing this game in Durban tbh. At the best of times the crowds are terrible and light is a problem. They should be playing this game in Bloemfontein or Kimberley, no chance of rain this time of year and the crowds can't possibly be worse.
-

Er WTF did I even remotely denigrate the guy...? Get off your high fucking precious unicorn - would you like a pact with that as well? All I intimated at worst is that rabada may not have the same control that we have seen over a number of years from both the veteran leaders of the bowling attack. Young fast bowlers rarely have the same degree of consistent control that guys with 30+ tests and well over 100 wickets do
-

Well because of this ludicrous two test series played during winter, we now have the opportunity to pull out all the stops for five days and knick a test series in South Africa.

Go get em lads.

Ha ha, that would be awesome. Serve the bloody administrators right if you ask me.

So far looks promising I think. If our batters can get there,

On the Gary-Dale mashup, I'll just leave this here:

I guess thats what happens when u get rid of the match fixers.

Or the other teams start, what were Aussie out for in SL? 106? Now I'm not saying Smith fixed it... but it points that way.

Probably.

Well I just don't like him.
-

A test vs SA at home is the perfect time to fast track him back into the team! -

Given the numbner of times he's turned us down in the last 5 years I'm going to go out on a limb he'll instead just pocket his 200k a year from Warks & another 100k odd from others & carry on telling us to piss off...
-

Yeah true, no Morkel but Steyn is still in the team so he'd be best to stay in England.
-

If I was a selector the feeling would be extremely mutual. His career owes a lot to the fact that NZ has accepted appallingly low returns just so they can have "a spinner" in the team. Look, I'm not expecting Warnie or Murali but another Vettori would be extremely handy right about now.
