Only got to see the highlights package of the Parker fight which doesn't give the full story. Was it a clear case of him getting dropped twice but winning all the other 10 rounds or was he a little lucky to get the decision?

Regrdless I really thought he was finished, but to see him come back and get a couple of good wins is testamanet to his toughness and fortitude if nothing else. Good on him for believing in himself when most outsiders had given up.

Pretty amazing knocking out someone with a much vaunted chin like Ngannou in a series of one punch knockdowns.

I think you have to question how seriously Fury took his Ngannou fight too

While fury may not be expected to knock him out in that spectacular fashion you would’ve expected him to hand him a boxing lesson .

Interesting he came in at a carrier heaviest weight , probably says something about his prep . He looks very different now getting ready for usyk .

Ngannou made rookie type mistakes against Joshua , watch Joshua repeatedly jab to the body, and ngannou attemptting to push the jab down with his hand leaving himself completely exposed for the right hand to follow through .

I suspect they saw this in the fury fight and went straight to setting up that trap

    https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/350258627/top-boxer-quits-goes-vegan-i-couldnt-hurt-people-anymore

Fascinating article to read over a coffee this morning.

That’s one vegan I’m certainly not keen to take the piss out of.

A dude I know was a promising boxer who quit out of the blue in a manner similar to this, he said he had recurring nightmares about stepping into the ring and had to give it away.

I suspect it will be a bit of a chess match, more so than an action packed fight , fascinating all the same

I’ll let you know on Sunday.

One guy who certainly doesn’t win is John Fury……

No prediction? I thought you followed this?

    Anyway, I'm picking Usyk

It’s too hard to pick I reckon.

Depends which version of Fury for me, at his best I think he has it but the jury is out especially after how he went against Ngannou.

As someone mentioned before I reckon it will go the distance, both will be pretty calculated and not take risks…..

( now that I’ve said that watch for a first round KO )

Pretty pumped for this, hope it lives up to expectations.

Yeah Fury looks dialled in and in impressive shape. I’m with Lennox Lewis, going for Fury because of his size advantage, though my heart says Usyk.

Didn’t know Usyk boxed at middleweight as an amateur at European level as a 19/20 yo!

Usyk if the scores aren't rigged. Fury won't be able to keep up with Usyk's speed out of the pocket and if Otto Wallin can give Fury fits fighting southpaw, good luck keeping up with Usyk.

    Usyk or a draw
will be tight- I don't see Furys weight loss as any benefit to him- he won't out move Usyk better off walking him down and leaning all over him

Fury’s lack of genuine power might be a factor in him not being able to put Usyk away.
