    Another knockdown in the 8th.

Zhang has that Foreman like power but no follow up.

Could be costly for JP if he doesn’t win the later rounds

Well done joe , that’s 2 fights in a row his constant feinting and changing of height has heavy hitters hesitant to let their hands go

Yeah he is only 32 as well ,

The title probably came too easy before he was ready , and was under developed mentally and technically for this big fights that followed

In the form of his career now though , good on him

Happy to be proven completely wrong on him. I thought he was absolutely finished after the Joyce beating.

Zhang has immense power and an awkward style but fuck all else. That power is dangerous though and hats of to JP for getting straight up, outboxing him and gassing him out.

JP is just so damn likable too, unlike another famous fighter out of Auckland.

Brutal by AJ , speaking of form reversals , he is looking much better than the gun shy fighter we have seen since the Ruiz loss

Pretty amazing knocking out someone with a much vaunted chin like Ngannou in a series of one punch knockdowns.

AJ delivering on his potential. He seems to have cut down his entourage and found a style again that suits his attributes.

Only got to see the highlights package of the Parker fight which doesn't give the full story. Was it a clear case of him getting dropped twice but winning all the other 10 rounds or was he a little lucky to get the decision?

Regrdless I really thought he was finished, but to see him come back and get a couple of good wins is testamanet to his toughness and fortitude if nothing else. Good on him for believing in himself when most outsiders had given up.

I think you have to question how seriously Fury took his Ngannou fight too

While fury may not be expected to knock him out in that spectacular fashion you would’ve expected him to hand him a boxing lesson .

Interesting he came in at a carrier heaviest weight , probably says something about his prep . He looks very different now getting ready for usyk .

Ngannou made rookie type mistakes against Joshua , watch Joshua repeatedly jab to the body, and ngannou attemptting to push the jab down with his hand leaving himself completely exposed for the right hand to follow through .

I suspect they saw this in the fury fight and went straight to setting up that trap

    https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/350258627/top-boxer-quits-goes-vegan-i-couldnt-hurt-people-anymore

Fascinating article to read over a coffee this morning.

That’s one vegan I’m certainly not keen to take the piss out of.

A dude I know was a promising boxer who quit out of the blue in a manner similar to this, he said he had recurring nightmares about stepping into the ring and had to give it away.
