Brumbies v Hurricanes

I think it’s a timely wake up call. Good teams hit back so I expect us to smash the Waratah’s next Friday and then that Blues game the following week will be huge.

Love, Numia and Iose were the pick of the Hurricanes tonight. All hopefully heading to higher honours in a few weeks time.
I thought Kirifi and Lakai showed their limitations a bit.
When does Razor name his squad?

After the Super Rugby semi finals I think

@KiwiMurph still just the one team that has won every game in a season then…
Still just one team that didn't concede a try in the knock out rounds, what's your point?
-
@KiwiMurph that’s a bit annoying. Why not do it after the Final? Therefore any of the players playing in the final the following week aren’t distracted by being selected/not being selected.

I think the argument is there's not enough time. Same thing happened in 2022 I remember before Blues Crusaders final.

@KiwiMurph nothing is ever easy with NZ Rugby.

@Machpants if you can’t see the point I can’t help you
Oh, you're bragging. Yes I see your point
-
Well... that was frustrating. Cameron fires a bullet pass to a forward in midfield who duly drops it, rinse and repeat.

Well, you gotta hold on to something I suppose.

@African-Monkey you thought wrong

Im unsure why the hooker always has to throw the ball in. It used to be the wing. Like FB almost always had to be the kicker. Now it's mostly the 1st. Not always with the kicker but it seems to be a fixed mindset regarding a hooker's role.
Canes might need some out of the box thinking if JO is out next week. As Tuputupu will never be a great hooker but was OK in this role apart from his dreadful lineout throwing. And I don't see this improving in a week. A lot of work on his defense is needed if JO is available next week
Other changes. l would bring Lakai back in at 7. Maybe Flander at 8. And try Morgan at first. Mainly because Cameron isn't good enough and Morgan has been (much) better in his 2 starts. Or otherwise try someone else
I would also drop Rayasi and PUJ even if Proctor and Moorby aren't available. Rayasi's 2 minutes of brilliance in a game isn't enough. PUJ can't pass and his defense is not much. But maybe he has leadership skills like Blackwell and Prinsep.
We seem to have struck gold with JM. But the backs coaches seem to have gone way off track. Laidlaw needs to sort this out. I hope its just a Tyler Bleyendaal issue and not Laidlaw.

Where's the Canes MOTM @Canes4life
Id go for Love and Numia and
No other back stood out. TJ has his worst game this year
Maybe Lomax
