@Bones Yeah - odds are pretty much just "how does the bookie maximise their chances of profit".

@Canes4life I certainly wouldn't have picked that the highlanders are nigh on the worst in scrums and lose 3 in 10.

@Bones I thought the Canes would have been a bit better than 83% aswell. I feel like most teams would strive to be around that 90% mark but some of the rulings are inconsistent these days so it's hard to be perfect.

    From Mark Robinson

“Super Rugby certainly has been amazing. We’ve just had an update from Sky around broadcast numbers and, as an example, round 4 in comparison with last year was up 25%. So we’re sensing overall viewership is strong, and sentiment around the competition is positive

The Hurricanes are the very definition of "mid"

Just so very average. No startling failures, only 1 success. Year after year after year of just being "okay, i guess"

The vanilla ice cream of Super Rugby teams.

oh the Blues are for sure KFC. Every time, every fucking time you think it's gonna be amazing. And then it disappoints you, and you sorta feel sick after.

I disagree with the vanilla analogy. Over the years we have played some of the most exciting backline rugby of any team. Of course we had our down years. But I think our lack of solid tight 5 and quality 10, and our mental inconsistency have been our Achilles heel

Lol that's the biggest troll yet. The Canes have always been the most exciting team to watch, the franchise has underachieved, but they've still got a better winning % overall than the Chiefs and Blues and they've won more games in total across all Super seasons.

If the Canes are mid, then the Chiefs and Blues are mud.

We get it, you hate Canes fans but to call us the vanilla of Super Rugby is simply delusional. We are definitely more goody goody gum drops. Always littered with the goods but seem to melt in the big games, especially against the Crusaders/Brumbies.

With a good tight-five this year hopefully we can repeat our feets of 2016.

@canefan lol to call the Canes vanilla when we've produced Cullen, Umaga, Milner Skudder, Jane, Beaudy, Nonu, Smith, Collins, the Savea's, Weepu, Perenara, Roigard, Coles etc etc. What a joke of a statement. You can't get more opposite than vanilla than the Canes.

Even our so called lesser light backs have been pretty awesome.

So I don't know what we are, but I'd describe us as amazing toppings, poor base
