Standouts for me in this game were Kirifi, Godfrey (please put him at 10), Love, Higgins, Vijoen (the young kid has a beautiful pass), Naholo, Iose and Howden.
Canes have a tone of class backs coming through, just hope they get plenty of opportunity.
Defence was a worry but I’m sure they will up the intensity next week.
Defence was a bigger worry for MP. It was a joke at times
Naholo will start on one wing. But unsure about the other one. Higgins maybe an option here
I wish Godfrey had started instead of Morgan. As its a big ask to start him when he's hardly ever played there at this level
-
@Winger Moorby will start on the right, Love at FB. Barrett and Proctor in the midfield. ?? at halfback with Cameron likely to start at 10. Vijoen, Godfrey and Higgins to come off the bench if Roigard is out and Perenara doesn’t make the trip.

@Canes4life Ok mate wasn't thinking, you think Rayasi will miss out? As I said only saw it on tv, and that doesn't really me whole picture who went well.
Just out of interest, where is that training set up for Canes. Lived in Trentham many years back and was trying to work out where it is. -
@Dan54 Rayasi should miss out because he was very average last year and Moorby/Naholo were sound. Moorby was really good last week, Naholo was good this week so I expect them both to be selected.
It's south of Hutt International Boys School where I actually went to college. Great facility. It's done wonders for the Phoenix football side so hopefully it gives the Hurricanes the upper hand this year.

@Canes4life Yep and Moorby is not a player that lets a team down is he? So you could be bang on.

@Dan54 you're definitely going to know what school a player went to when Laban is commentating.
Might be what I like mate, I enjoy knowing that stuff anyway.
Actually played Golden Oldies rugby against him many moons ago. Always laughed he ran over a smallish wing we had , a couple of times, then got the ball on the a burst, all I heard from behind me, (I was trying to work out how I was stuck in backline and about to try and tackle him) was leave him, big Maori fella who had been a pretty prop at rep level etc, stepped past me hit him square with his shoulder, red card material everyday these days, and absolutely flattened him. To Laban's credit he got up with a happy smile and just carried on, knowing that perhaps you don't run over smallish wings in Golden Oldies!! -
