Yeah. I live in the Waikato. We had nine teams this season. A couple of teams left over covid time but new teams have joined.

Over 35's generally. Anyone younger can play if they play in the pressies spirit. Sons play with father's and grandfathers sometimes.

    Couldn't play pressies.

Notwithstanding health issues and being in my 50s (not that they are unrelated), but just wouldn't know how to regulate whether it was full on, or hold back a touch.

Spose that was the good thing about playing up here on the Sunny Coast. Could keep playing Seniors then Reggies ( Reserves) way into my mid 40s and just playing as hard as I could, until I couldn't 🙂

@booboo over here you just play, just no need to be super serious but everyone is out there going about as hard as they can. We had a 73 yo out on the wing the other week and he did bloody well!

HB and former Ta$man prop Isaac Salmon has signed with NOLA Gold.

Some of the text of this post is hilarious:

"Isaac Salmon has had standout performances in both the MLR and Bunnings NPC." Must have been for Ta$man in the past.

"Currently a key player for the HAwke’s Bay MagpiEs, ..." Whaaaaaat? A key player? In all the 3 games (70 minutes) he played for us when he came off the bench? He was a key foodbill allright.

Two 20 year olds. Good experience, and some money in the pocket.

Goodness, at this rate there will be very few NPC squad members playing club rugby in NZ next winter.

Frank Lochore has signed with Utah Warriors. Well-deserved, he was our most improved rookie, but I would have preferred to see him in a SR WTG.

Does he make the next Irish squad? I am guessing he got the tap on the shoulder.

I'm speculating part of it was he got the tap the other way, from Razor to say he wont be making the ABs. Didn't he have an article a couple of years back when he said he was only wanting to play for NZ?

Which one of the Cantab posters knows everything? Maybe he can confirm for us?
