@scribe if the Boks win though it will be Eben. If New Zealand win it will be Ardie. Even more motivation to win the big dance on Sunday.

In the 23 years of this award, World Rugby have not nominated a single Prop for this award. It will be nice if one year, World Rugby acknowledged the outstanding play of the superb athletes of this key position on the field.

@sparky definitely, considering a guy like Lomax has been one of our best this year.

Yeah, it is pretty shit. But the awards are a farce, with weird decisions all over place. I'm interested but so often I think, X or Y should get nominated/the award but I know Z will get the award.

kind of hoped they'd throw Nuggie a bone with a nomination, previously theyve had more than four nominated

@Stargazer Foster's nomination is going to trigger a few people here...

I hope Simon Raiwalui gets it. Fiji have been outstanding recently.

I've been accused of having severe FDS, but it would be a fair award. If he does it, he'll deserved it. Not as much as Fiji, or even Portugal, but that's not how these awards work. Rwc and esp the final, are heavily weighted. Coach of the year, yup, coach of the rwc cycle? Fuck off!

I could concede that, most of my negative feeling are from the previous 3 years, there has been a noticeable change in tactics/selections and corresponding uptick in result this year

Fair play to you on Foster.

I can't be the only one who has noticed a lot of anti-Foster posters (some wishing the AB's got dumped out at the pool stages) have become conspicuous by their absence.

i dont remember too many actually WANTING the AB's too lose, losing faith we would win is very different

I think the change in assistant coaches has a lot to do with that.

So what is the actual deal with the Jacques bloke being there and not Rassie. Is it because he's not officially the coach but has some other title?

Rassie is Director of Rugby I think. Nien is puppet coach

    Another genius innovation I guess.
