    Argentina penalty. Kickable.

That’s where they lost the match

Should have gone for the catch and drive

Underhill got through a power of work and Dan should be starting. Raw power. Jamie George needs to go.

Earls first name on the team sheet

    Base the game around him

I love him but I’d love to see him hang his boots up, he’s taken so many head knocks, and another tonight, that I’m genuinely worried for him

An England back row of Curry, Underhill and Earl would be world class.

Funny that you can lose three games in one tournament and still finish 4th. Glad to see England established as the 3rd best team in the world and clearly the best in the Northern Hemisphere.

Agree. England have some awesome athletes, hope they can kick on from here. But I think borthwick is in over his head

Quite a bit right for England tonight, but an awful lot wrong.

Still we kick too much when on attack and not only that, we kick poorly. Is that decision making or is that coaching? Dunno really. One kick Smith put through later on was class, the rest was a long way away.

Selection: Our best scrum half by a Canterbury Mile (that is longer and better than a country mile apparently), Mitchell, was not even in the original squad. Our first choice winger (until today), May, was not in the original squad (not saying he was great, just that he was constant but not originally picked). Our only No8 in the squad hardly featured and when he did had a negative impact. Our MOTM Underhill. Not in the original squad. Just muddled selection.

Selection during the game: OK, Tuilagi took a knock, luckily we have a like for like replacement in Lawrence, but no. We bring Ford on and move Farrell to 12, which has been a disaster for some time now. We then take off our only strike runner, Arundell, and yeah he didn't figure much, but which of our wingers have throughout the tournament? And who do we bring on? Lawrence. So we end up with 3 fly halves, one centre and no wingers. We have 4 out of 7 in the backline playing out of position. It's just madness.

Getting to third was a long way from expectation and let's face it, we we helped by the draw; however the potential was for a little bit more and we just didn't go for it. So disappointing.

I see Creevy has a “new” pronunciation

    That would be Miles Harrison

Suspect it was Rupert Cox (world feed), he of Ardie SarVaya fame.

    Creevy = Gravy apparently.

Agree. 5 minutes left, down by 3, penalty 5m in, 22m out. Your previous maul made good yards.

Did someone have money on extra time being called?
