@Smudge I assume you mean me (although apparently it's you), but I wasn't criticising @mikey07 for posting it here. I just meant that he had signed with another SR franchise, so was unlikely to go overseas, unless it was an Aussie franchise. Apologies if it was worded in a way you're allergic to.

@Stargazer He will probably still play for the Bay won't he? Seems a good way for those to make a living if they can't quite make a super team to earn enough to make a living.

@Dan54 I don't know. They've used an old photo of Souchon. He played as a replacement player for Southland, this NPC season. He wasn't named in any initial NPC squad as far as I know.

Generally speaking, players can indeed combine playing MLR and NPC.

@Stargazer yep mate , we got a few in the Naki doing it, off the top of my head Jesse Parete (he was doing the double up with Japan club , but moved to MLR) Jasn Potroz, Tom Franklin and I think one or two others. Seems a good life for a player in one way, none of them on big money, but can live on what they earn in both comp.

The word is that Cruden will be going to MLR so obviously no NZ SR team was interested.

I've just heard that foster hasn't got a job next year? Anyway in the morning interview before the final in his normal not-at-all-funny way he answered a question about his future saying he's going to mow his lawns (ho-ho-ho, you jester. So respectful to a journo who is only allowed one question). Anyway he did mention as it went off to the next journo that 'it is coaching tho'. I wonder where?

Gets quite a salary currently though, doesn't he? And a bonus if he/they win the next game? Asking, not sure.

Lots of places where an ex-ABs coach could work with far less stress and more money. Pasta or ramen would work easily

Wallabies appear to have no KPIs currently. So chicken parma/prawns could be an option.
