The only thing that really entertained me was on the first corner.

Max won by less than a pit stop, how can you not be entertained. 2nd and 3rd were even on the same straight as him just after he won. Unbelievable

Just reading up about them now. Not something I'm super familiar with but it makes sense given how much of an advantage you get running a car that low. Must be an absolute nightmare to enforce though.
Wolff doesn't seem overly bothered about it, so that tells me that they knew they were pushing it:
***Wolff: We got it wrong
Speaking to the media after the decision, Wolff admitted: "Set-up choices on a sprint weekend are always a challenge with just one hour of free practice – and even more so at a bumpy circuit like COTA and running a new package."In the end, all of that doesn't matter – others got it right where we got it wrong and there's no wiggle room in the rules. We need to take it on the chin, do the learning, and come back stronger next weekend.***
I tend to avoid the US races as they seem to be more about which celebrities are in the paddock than the actual race. Case in point, if I google US Grand prix, 3 of the top 5 stories are that Prince Harry was there. Honestly, who cares?

Not sure that's true. Yes, there are a few there on money, but the best drivers in the world are in F1, no question.
Just seen this and - not sure that's true.
Also - yes - question. Some of the best drivers, but some dross as well.
Driver selection is largely about money from what I see. Sponsorship, fan numbers, nationality, etc. Some incredibly talented drivers that never even get a look in. Pretty tough for someone with no real money, from a small country, that doesn't have a home GP to get a gig, no matter how good they are. Dixon is (on numbers) the second-best Indy car driver in history and he got one test drive session in F1 (IIRC), so it appeared that he wanted a crack. It is possible that he was so far off that they didn't pursue it, but highly unlikely.
I hope Lawson gets a look in as he is clearly gifted. Red Bull are also a brand that associates itself with the best, and a "winners" attitude, so there is hope.
