Set piece was fucking sick. Pumped their scrum, pinched their lineouts
We contested rucks for 80 fucking minutes. Sam Whitelock was still sticking his hands in at the end
We were good at keeping our ball at the ruck. Those are good things.
Discipline improved despite a lapse after halftime

I'm happy as shit. We're in good shape
Yep, looking good. Only concern it it's only one game and we've been here before.
Ryan, Foster and co have got the forwards back in the groove, so let's hope they can keep them there.
-
Beauden is definitely a protected player to stay on for the full 80 mins. That was a perfect opportunity to look at the Mo'unga-DMac combo in the 2nd half.
We should have saved some of those special plays for the QF.
No cards and injuries was the big bonus.

Look, we're not going to have it this easy in the knock outs, but
If we can secure good ball we can score points. And that's a scary thought for anyone playing us, knowing they'll maybe need 23 or more to beat us, they can't just rely on a try and a couple of penalties.
This morning will just have created a seed of doubt
-
@mariner4life Irish scrum sessions will be intense in the next 2 weeks

I don’t care what anyone says , given their history, Ireland will be nervous

Who'd have though six months ago Shannon Frizzell would be key to NZ's RWC progress?
We live in weird times.

And he certainly is..... I feel his development during his time at lock for the landers has added to his game - his lineout work alone puts him ahead of any of the other 6s we had been considering - let alone his physical presence which appears to be growing -
He seems to allow Ardie play better at 8 - I haven't quite put my finger on how he does it....
-
Very proud of that, especially the calmness. Jordie is huge.

Gives him space and confidence when he wants to play a looser game - he knows Frizzell has his arse covered.

Some of this post match stuff on Sky is utter trash
ITV is much better - Fitzy, Parise & Wilkinson.
Fitzy head & shoulders above the other two despite being the shortest
No way. Jonny is way more insightful. Fitzy is turning into the old Zinny pundit

He's not a spectacular player - quite average in many ways apart from his boot. But he's become so solid and reliable - he gives RMo, Reiko and the rest of the team great confidence. Bit like Conrad in some respects
Not surprising that when he was off his game against France we faltered.

Nice training park hit out against a tier 2 nation, but I'm not sure this is what we needed before a quarterfinal.
Where’s the upside at this point in a difficult game? You lost to France, let the boys build some confidence, let them have some fun, and let’s see what happens next
My mistake, I thought we'd just played Uruguay.

It's only one game. We've been here before. That said, the shit periods seem to be getting shorter and shorter.

Posters hyperventilating about players when 50 points ahead. Normal programming has resumed at TSF.
