Can't help but feel this is a rope-a-dope from France. They aren't doing anything but kicking for distance and the ABs are running everything. For sure they're making all the play and look good doing so but the opportunity was lost to go for a try when hard on France line and went for three. They've basically kicked the ball away and still lead.

Interesting contest , both teams making errors

Our scrum is a concern looking forward

Well as @Damo said above we should be front.

The expected French dominance isn't happening.

I was thinking we were losing the kicking duels, but the last couple we've won with the touch finders.

Fine margins here. Can go either way.

The tactic of a quick throw in followed by a midfield bomb is not working. Cut that shit out

I think it has been overblown a wee-bit. Atonio did de Groot the first time, but the second one, it seemed like de Groot had the advantage, before slipping/totally losing his bind. It is hardly like we have been blown backwards.

Subs will be crucial, particularly the front row. Laulala has been better than de Groot but neither will last long in the 2nd half.

@frugby the second one he was so wide/angling in that he either need to good forward fast or he was going to get called

I reckon both teams looked really nervous early on. Even with us scoring that try.

    I quite like our attack.

The benches and what they provide will determine this game given the conditions.

France looking a bit disjointed in midfield without Danty in there, AB's making easy metres through there.

We need to exit well off of the restart.

Have not noticed ALB either on defence or attack.

Not a criticism as such, but you'd hardly know he is playing.

NZ could score a couple of tries. France look like they have slow ball.

Subs will be interesting... front rowers will be on within ten minute you'd think, but the rest? Will BBBR actually be used, Jacobson probably for Vaa'i with 20 to go?

I maintain Christie will be sitting on his bum whilst it is close, unless Smith tires (extremally unlikely). ALB has been good, so at this stage, wouldn't be looking to Havili, and likewise no reason to bring Fainga'anuku on.

That was Beaudie. Good set play. Long cut out from Richie to Beaudie, we had a dummy player for the behind the line ball and we went short to a running Ioane.

He set Reiko on that run. At least he hasn't showed out in a negative way. Too much kicking , few midfield runs for him to show out
