Happy enough with that. De Groot has gifted points and peyper has made 2 wrong ruck calls.

BB is having a great game as touch finders are the right option. Telea also great. Scott Barrett and Paps going well. France missing Ntamack imo.

    Jaco been largely good

He can't keep up and that's only going to hurt one team. You're been magnificent O'Peyper but it's time to step down.

Peyper needs to have some balls and not stop play so often.

Disappointing game, from both sides. These never seem to live up to the expectations. Don't get the whinging about peyper. From a neutral perspective he's given the French nothing.

Missed an illegal clean on Barrett and gave the French a very kickable bullshit penalty.

I haven't seen much whinging at all. Haven't been here often?

Really? In a 30 degree night it's a good game

So much space out there for us when we have the ball, I'm optimistic

It suits him more than France

So far, so good on the scoreboard. Too many errors though and Ethan De Groot not having a game to remember.

BB's kicking improved markedly in the 2nd 20, Paps having a really good game and RM combining really well with Telea.

@canefan Reckon we got to keep the ball moving. Keep those big forwards running. They want to kick and scrum. Let's put some pace on it.

I can’t wait until Roigard comes on and works his magic around the ruck against this tiring French outfit…. Oh wait.

Haven’t been reading the thread, so unsure what the whinging is about. I think he’s been good, however probably being too lenient with the French slowing tactics, and DuPont taking an age to clear from rucks.

@Steve missed a very illegal clear out by Ardie in lead up to your penalty

Can't help but feel this is a rope-a-dope from France. They aren't doing anything but kicking for distance and the ABs are running everything. For sure they're making all the play and look good doing so but the opportunity was lost to go for a try when hard on France line and went for three. They've basically kicked the ball away and still lead.

Interesting contest , both teams making errors

Our scrum is a concern looking forward

Well as @Damo said above we should be front.

The expected French dominance isn't happening.

I was thinking we were losing the kicking duels, but the last couple we've won with the touch finders.

Fine margins here. Can go either way.

The tactic of a quick throw in followed by a midfield bomb is not working. Cut that shit out

I think it has been overblown a wee-bit. Atonio did de Groot the first time, but the second one, it seemed like de Groot had the advantage, before slipping/totally losing his bind. It is hardly like we have been blown backwards.

Subs will be crucial, particularly the front row. Laulala has been better than de Groot but neither will last long in the 2nd half.
