All Blacks vs Springboks - Twickenham

Quick stat look shows we only won 66% (10/15) of our lineouts. Fuuuuck.
We tackled at 83%. Won't win like that.
Apparently, 554 metres run for SA and 474 for us, why so close? 98 for Roigard making that looking much better than it should do.
DeGroot conceded 5 penalties. Ouch.
ALB stat line: 1 pass, 2 runs, No metres, 1 turnover, no tackles made, 1 tackle missed. Not exactly the impact we are looking for from the bench. Sadly, I don' think there are other options that provide enough cover.

Stopped watching after the RC. I'd seen this film before. If everything goes 100% right then this team can beat anyone, but are royally fůcked otherwise. Whatever happened to booting the shit out the ball when camped on your line? To win the RWC you have at least one game that's a trench warfare grind fest. I cannot see this team winning a game like that.
No rocket science but We can tear any team apart if we win up front and can be made to look very very ordinary when we don’t .
And Our opposition know that

Passing without looking.
34 minutes in, that's what I've noticed. Especially looking for the offload around their own 22. Idiocy.
-
Stats meaningless Killed at the start, man down, playing catch-up whole game
-
@BerniesCorner I really can’t see us coming back against a half decent side (and South Africa are a lot more than that) if we only have 14 men.

Look at the 2015 semi as a case in point.
A Whitelock line out steal and a Carter drop goal won the game. And that was our team of GOATS.
This rabble are going to have to go on a mighty ducks style tear to get this over the line.
Without digging out any of them in particular you can see the team is devoid of thinkers.
There are too many loose canons in that team.
"This rabble are going to have to go on a mighty ducks style tear to get this over the line."
Farking love this! Problem is Foster is no Gordon Bombay!

I understand those wanting to defend S Barrett. He's been good this year and mostly shelved the brain farts.
But that dive into the ruck - which was already decided mind you, and on which he would have zero effect - with a leading shoulder was the pinnacle of fucking idiocy

@NTA That Second Try was an absolute shocker. Sheer lunacy to try and play like that near our own line.
Our guys seemed to think it was some sort of Barbarians game. South Africa had come to play a Test match.
That may be the "saving grace", that they didn't treat it as a legit test and got hammered accordingly. But if so that's a very sad reflection on the ABs these days.

Haven't finished the game
Haven't read the threadI assume everyone is taking the advantage to blame this on Ian Foster
That's deluded. This is 100% an individual performance issue. The players let themselves down very fucking badly tonight. Very fucking badly. Dumb fucking penalties, missed tackles, missed ruck assignments, dropped balls. Have a look in the fucking mirror boys because you let your coaches down today.

When I think Jersey 23 historically I think a DMAC or Beaudy type.
ALB?????
Jesus Christ. Vanilla stuff. Meh. Nothing.

And equally as bad on the field when the players are looking around for real leadership from the captain and all they see is Cane looking like a possum in headlights, again.
and hooked.....again.
