We really miss Beauden at the back, as a 2nd play maker and organiser. Jordan is a great player but better suited to wing at this level. Stevenson looks like a Super rugby player so far, dangerous on attack but being targeted by the opposition for his poor defense, which is not unexpected. Hopefully some subs just after half time can shift momentum...

Look at the big picture though. Was this the crap half of Rugby we needed to stir any complacency out of the squad?

    Nah, we’re just playing crap.

A number of players have done dumb things and given away silly penalties, not executed at set piece whether giving away scrum penalties or not throwing well at lineout. Cut those poor mistakes down.

Oh and yeah, too many Chiefs

Mackenzie showing he's only good when provided a dominating platform up front. Can't manage a game at all.

Looking at the positives, in a disjointed ABs team, there are some players who have been playing well in the first half. Whitelock, Retallick, Savea, Fainga'anuku, Ennor and Jordan all went well.

    It’s all about game management.

The 3 Barrett boys engines are certainly missed.

    Particularly Scot and Jordie.

The gap from Scot to Vaii is gargantuan.

Vaii went to the Patty Tuipolutu school of physicality......and didn't graduate.

It can’t get any worse in the second half can it?

Christie continues a poor season. Not many ball carriers out there.

Much maligned, but Ennor looked the best ball in hand. Close in exchanges and out wide.

    He ran straight, which helps.

Fuck Stevenson looks dejected in the changing rooms, he knows he’s not going to the WC.

have the loosies been the problem? Given Foster won't bench Cane unless he is injured.

Vaii's been ok I think, got a lineout steal and got around the field.

Our biggest issue is the lack of go-forward off the forwards pods, if they go backwards it's hard for the backs to do anything.

    AB's just not physical enough.

@Steve Va’ai did land a sweet clean out against two Wallabies that gave us front foot ball to attack off.

And tackle height far too high - from everyone, get the ball carrier to ground.

The way he's playing, it's probably just as well he's not going. He'll embarass himself

That first half has been personally chastening based on my current opinions of who should and shouldn't be in the side.

Maybe that's why Ian Foster is sat in the coaches box and im sat in my underpants with no hopes, dreams or prospects.

I feel bad for the likes of Stevenson Willoams, Finau, McLeod, and a few others, to go into a match v Aus with this many changes was always likely to go this way.

Lack of gametime and combos not ideal, but good for us to be tested if we come back...
