Am going to the game, already getting the pre game jitters … or could be the two coffees I’ve had ..anyhoo anticipation building. Its dawned relatively fine ie blue sky for the most with abit of cloud, hoping stays that way. Watched some of the AFL game played at the G last night, looks like an awesome venue. Shelled out for the pricey tickets when Ticketek first made them available as probably one and only time I’ll attend a Bledisloe here. Unfortunately my trip partner (my brother) had to bail out last minute (morning of flight here yesterday) as has gout.. but put the offer to my son and he’s flying in from Sydney as we speak. Not ordinarily a rugby follower….have wondered at times if he may have been switched at birth… but enjoys the AB’s v Wallabies passion/spectacle. Go the AB’s !!!

My only concern for tonight is that the Fern collective appear pretty happy with the team named, which probably means they've got it completely wrong given our track record of incorrect analysis etc etc

Ooh reverse Fern jinx! Not sure how that will play out.
And given Eddie loves to fox, but also typically pours everything into beating the ABs, I am thinking we will have a torrid time.
Not sure the size of the (relatively new to each other as combos?) Wallabies pack will effectively flow into great control at the scrum though. -

Not wanting to sound arrogant, but we will only lose if we allow ourselves to lose. If we turn up with the right mindset we should be comfortable winners

@canefan Am confident the ABs have the skills and strength to beat the Aussies, just hoping they will have the mindset to withstand the pressure the old foe will def bring to the game and if any of the boys cop a red. If the Wallabies get ahead esp early will be interesting to see how the team cope. They have done okay prev but in this game who knows. A good precursor for the World Cup but I don’t want this to be the time/place for that lesson .

If Chieka was coach? For sure. Eddie might have some tricky moves, not sure they will allow them to hold us out for a full 80

Last time the Fern was happy with the team was Perth 2019 wasn’t it? Didn’t go so well.
The game prior to that was a draw vs Boks in Wellington. Hardly great form....

I’m happy comparing the side to the last few years , it’s an improvement on that so that’s a good thing .
not because I think we can beat everyone.
The jury’s still out on that .

That could be a great Fern thread. What’s the most pissed you have been for an All Blacks game but still remembered every piece of play lucidly?
