I also like Jacobson off the bench, but have to think this means DP and AS going 80?

They've got options. Jacobson could come on at 8 and AS could shift to 7. AS could get subbed and Whitelock comes on as captain. Jacobson could come on at 7 in place of Dalton (especially as Wallabies don't have an out and out 7 in the 23).
-
I like it. Strong team, strengthening combos and consistent selection. Now they just have to perform on the day.

Yeah, I was just typing something similar.
We also have to factor in whether SB replaces Frizell at 6, or he or BBBR are subbed for Whitelock.

I think we've missed a trick with no DMac on the bench. Surely he's the sort of player that will tear Aussie to shreds in the last 20 mins, be it at 10 or 15.
-
@KiwiMurph is more that AS hasnt moved to 7 much in recent years, and Jacobson is more a 6/8 as well, although DP is more a 6/7 anyway...although we have moved from the 'traditional' out and out 7 anyway, IMO we are probably closer to running with 3 6.somethings, but just starting from a different spot.
AS usually goes 80, does Frizell often go 80, meaning this is more likely where LJ will go?
Sure plenty of options there, including a 'worst case' scenario of SW going to lock, SB to 6 and then LJ to 6/7 or 8....

Agreed. As much as I like Caleb Clarke he’s a waste on the bench ie, no flexibility. DMac would’ve been much better.

I agree, and said the same earlier re Clarke.
On DMac, I would also have preferred him, not so much to "tear the aussies to shreds in the last 20" (you cocky fucker ). but more because I'd like to see him get more time at 10. I am resigned to the fact that BB is likely to be our back-up 10 in the preferred 23 if RM gets injured IN a big game, but if we had to START a different 10 because RM cops an injury the week before, I'd probably prefer that be DMac over BB - and at the least, I'd like to see it once more before the big dance starts

@KiwiMurph if nothing, he peaks a bit more interest form Across the Ta$man, winds up a few Kiwis...

Eddie is the ultimate shit stirrer. Good entertainment.
Looking at his team. Big forwards, massive backrow, Arnold and Tupou on the bench would have to be some of the largest forwards in the world?
They’re not being subtle, they’re going to take us on upfront, try to stop the AB gain line, flood the breakdown to mess up our ball. They’ve got the personnel to do it, will be interesting to watch.
Big weakness is combinations 9, 10, 13 & 15. How well will they operate under pressure? How well can they adjust when momentum shifts etc.
On paper it looks closer than form suggests.

isnt that @booboo job anyway?
He's let the odd one through to the boundary of late, so I thought I'd help him out

I won't even mention the spelling mistake or appalling use (or non-use) of capital letters.

Sounds similar to the game plan for RWC 03 Semi Final. That day he targeted Jerry Collins as he was the primary ball carrier. I wonder if Frizell is in for similar treatment on Saturday.
