It’s Razor. Robertson New All Blacks coach.

@Machpants I'm hoping it's going to be a bit like the transition from Toddy Blackadder to Razor in the ability of Razor to generate some excitement around AB rugby. I was a bit concerned he'd be a bit stranded with a dud first five, but DMac has come good this year and a couple of others showing promise.
I'm a bit more optimistic than you about Fozzie's chances at RWC - especially with Ryan and Schmidt as assistants. Unfortunately, our QF is going to be tough, whoever we get - and that's not usually helpful when it comes to winning World Cups.

Depends what Tamati wants. To stay as an assistant coach . Or to be a top level head coach. If a head coach the smart option in my view is to do what he's doing. Start at NPC level and then step up (as Robertson did) This will be hard enough to do as an assistant with the Crusaders. But also being distracted with the ABs will make it even more difficult.
And he's assisting Hansen not Holland (if the rumor is correct)
And he still needs to prove himself as a head coach. Interestingly Wellingtons NPC win was a big plus on his CV. He did this without Robertson The bigger plus will be if Wellington win again this year

@SBW1 Either way given it's the end of a World Cup cycle there'll be a real fresh start feel in 2024 given a number of stalwarts retiring/moving overseas/taking sabbaticals (Smith, Coles, Whitelock, Retallick, Frizell, Ardie, Reece, Beauden (?), Mo'unga etc)

Like Fozzie has been ... I'm running to my bunker that hopefully includes protection from the Far South, the near South and the North.
Get back to your Bunker, Edith.
There's a distinct step down from Richie, DMac and Good Beauden - to the next level, but a couple of them are starting to look OK.

We should be good, with plenty of options, in the front row, loose forwards and outside backs.
Roigard and DMac should hopefully give us decent options in the inside backs if both are fit and available. Something to work with in the back-ups.
I'm not sold on our midfielders, but he'll have the same as Fozzie to work with.
He'll want Scott Barrett to stay fit at lock - and hopefully someone else (big) will step up.

Razor on selecting the ABs....
"I'll just be as objective as I possibly can, it's a performance based sport. You be really clear on your unconscious bias. You pick, you get challenged, you have people around you to make sure you get the right people. That's part of the job, it's the best players in the country, that will be clear.”
