he can cover anywhere between 11-15 comfortably
He comfortably covers the midfield? First I've heard he even plays there
he's played quite a bit of rugby for BOP in the midfield
Narawa has played 37 games for BOP. Of those 37, he started 26 on the wing, 6 at fullback, 1 at second 5/8 and 2 at centre. He came of the bench in two games. So only 3 starts in the midfield and possibly 2 from the bench. I wouldn't call that "quite a bit". I'd call that "only a few".

@mariner4life thats exactly where i am...all fun chat aside...i just cant see fozzie trying anything new unless he's forced too through injury
I can't think of anything that would surprise me more than him going against a decade and a half of collective experience and insight that experience is what matters at the RWC, not form.

I agree about Luke Jacobson, player of the round, even better than Talea imo
Considering his position and the opposition quality, he shone. Yes, his highlight run was a misread from the defence but his other work was awesome. Pity there is no decent stats site so we have to go from reported comments but I think he was around 20 tackles?
Telea also excellent but mainly through the skill of picking out when the Canes were set up like schoolboys. Canes really were a mess at times. Great to have that ability but may not get those chances often.

ESPN
Pretty sure they use opta which is reasonably reliable
The UI is clunky. Use the calendar to find older games

It's like their mission is to make the stats as difficult as possible to find.

J Nareki 11 tackles with 3 missed, not as impressive as it felt watching but still great hustle

J Ainsley 13 tackles with 1 missed
M Hicks 16 tackles with 0 missed
B Harmon 20 tackles with 0 missed
H Renton 12 tackles with 0 missed -

The usual caveats about the stats. I usually keep an eye on them during a game but they only tell part of the story.
Where the opposition is concentrating their attack has a big impact. For example sometimes you see locks with huge numbers because the opposition has decided to go for pick and goes etc

I keep going there to look for stats but they removed the Statsguru entirely and make these one extra difficult to find.
I am really hoping that part of the Silverlake investment goes to better fan engagement via stats (onflow effect on discussions/comps/TV analysis etc). Relying on third parties is not the way.
