    Tu'u

Have you seen him make a tackle this year? His defense is terrible.

You've just made that up. Since he's returned from injury, he's literally missed one single tackle (against the Canes) according to ESPN stats. That makes it one missed tackle this season.

Interesting to see they have gone with Rona over Poihipi in the midfield, he must have made a good early impression. This will be a tough match for the Landers.

Yes. Poihipi has played in every game since he replaced ALB in Rd 1. ENS is also being rested.

    Highlanders season so far

    3 losses, 3 wins, 3 losses

Therefore Science!™ says they'll win this, beat the Brumbies away and smash the Rebels. Exciting times for Highlanders supporters

This is why we need more scientists on tsf.

I know, I know.....I shouldn't complain when somehow one miracle has happened and Hunt is out of the starting XV....but fuck! Gregory on the wing when he's better in midfield, Nareki on the bench?

Has Hunt lost his dodgy pictures of the coaches to Paea?

why would we start our best winger on the wing when we can start and average centre there?

hunt still has the pics, he knows we're going to get pumped and doesn't wanted to get the blame

@Bones as a Northland supporter, the only good games we got out of him were in 11.

@muddyriver yeah as a highlanders supporter, we've got the best out of him when he has less time to think/worry and just plays on instinct - midfield.

@Kiwiwomble TBF, unfortunately despite the fact he has all the attributes, his good games were far and few between.

My recollection of the handful he played really well, were in the mid-field (possibly off the bench or moved there in the game) for us although had a couple of good ones on the wing too, I guess I could go back and check MOTM polls if they are still there, but nah 🙂

BUt I do agree with @Bones he is better playing on instinct, giving him more time results in too much to think about errors...but what I will say, is never play him at 15, he has been awful for us, was awful for the Highlanders when he played there too.

@taniwharugby how he played 2 or 3 seasons at fb I will never know. George konia...
His games at 11 he had an excellent boot and he got very stuck in.

I think he has lost pace and explosivness though, out of school he was 1st 2nd and 3rd in nz across the 3 athletic throws.

Even the game most think will be the closest (Reds v Tahs) has 81% support for one side.
This really is a haves and have nots comp this year. The sooner we get to the semis the better. We are only playing to see which one of five teams misses out.

Highlanders: Tucker ruled out; Dickson starting at 5.

Edit: Marino Mikaele-Tu'u will wear the 19 jersey.

Just can't see my Landers having a snow balls chance tonight. I will be happy if they are competitive.

Happy to see ALB starting and Lord on the bench for the Chiefs.

Freddy Burns.... well can't be worse than Hunt.

So Shannon will shift to lock if one of the starting locks get injured
