That try by Nick Frost tonight was the highlight. Absolute giraffe in open space but he surely showed some toe to go all the way.

The Hurricanes have played all five Aussie teams and won all of them. They started the season pretty strong, seem to have stalled somewhat. Still in a really good position.

It's a pity that Godfrey didn't get more than 2 minutes. And had to replace Rayasi. 🤦🏽♂

Rayasi should have been subbed at half time

I would take Aumua over Coles for the WC. He really matured through the NPC last year and has definitely continued that form for the Canes this year.

And Roigard too. Unlikely with Foster but good news for Razor

Playing heads up Rugby every week. The top 2 inches are definitely there with this kid.

Intercepting, sniping, having a dab from the base in the red zone. A lot to like.

I don't really follow subbing him, with 20 to go no matter what.
If he is playing well and not tired, why do we have to sub him? It's such a huge drop off to Booth.

I don't think I have ever seen so much just let go in a game, I enjoyed the lack of penalties, I bet that game had a lot more time with ball in play than average.

Mentioned after the game against the Chiefs as well. Pre-determined subbing to inferior players
If this is a sign of the coaches acumen I am concerned for the ABs.

    Watching replay this morning.

Where did Doleman learn to ref?

5 minutes of ignoring Brumbies offences ...

... offside inside the 10 not retiring
... multiple side entries and illegal hands in ruck
    ... no arms tackle
... throwing the ball away preventing quick throw

    Was getting quite GOM !

Now misses blatant Canes knock on (calls it backwards) so suppose he's just hopeless ...

    He just ignored so much

Some of the Canes lineouts almost went straight to the backs

Made the game more entertaining though.

I am a real Roigard fan, but I have to dampen my keenness on him as an AB with the knowledge that 9s are getting artificial room to move around scrums etc with our laws we playing in Super , that aren't part os test rugby. Still like Ratima love seeing good young uns coming through!
I have to say Rayasi would be the most frustrating of the Canes players for me, in a game he will do 4-5 seemingly real good stuff, and then add to it 4-5 incredibly dumb stuff. Whats with (and he not only one) with all this smart arse no look passing in game this year?

I quite like that he swallowed his whistle, I dunno if it balanced out but I prefer that, in an everyday game, to pedantic refereeing

Anyway, extremely enjoyable game of footy, despite my ref whinges. (Agree with @Darren about the Canes' lineouts.)

I keep hearing how Super Rugby is boring. Are these people not actually watching the game? Either that or they have an agenda.

Yeah all the games between the top teams this year have been very good to watch. If only all teams were at that level then we would have a pretty decent competition.

Name a comp where all teams are "at that level".

Probably not many, but most comps have a-lot more than 5 teams that are considered ‘at that level’. It’s quite clear looking at the Super table only 5 teams really have a chance of doing. the business so to speak. If Super Rugby wants to be a serious comp they need more competitive teams than that.

I think we are seeing what the Canes can do with a front row.

So much to like about Roigard, Aumua, and the way Lomax is playing.
