I'm curious to ask, how would Hurricanes fans feel about Holland leaving if they won the title this year?
He can put some nice attacking plays together, but can't select a team to save himself. Done better this year though, but still some odd selections.

@Machpants I expect this part involves alot of movement of current super coaches, so will take some ironing out!

Agree. But he's only done better against the weaker team. He's got qualities to be a good assistant coach but not a head coach

@Chris no switch he's 7 and captain
I thought it was going to be that.
Smart move to not select a Crusader as captain. If it happens.

Not really, the coaches are all NZ contracted, so the sorting of assist coaches is not hard. The hard part is 3 SR teams cleaning up the mess afterwards, like we had with Hollands appt last minute to the Canes 2019/2020

@Machpants .....that might be one of the most random combination of words in a single sentence ive ever heard....im going to have to looks that now....im sure i'll regret it

They may be NZR contracted but many get top ups from the Franchise partners

How many assistant coaches does Robertson want? If that NZH article is correct, MacDonald is sort of redundant when you also have Holland in charge of the attack.
If this helps, I did some digging for you - a complete history of Razor's assistant configuration.
NZ U20's (less relevant as limited resources for a full coaching set-up.)
2015: MacDonald, Umaga.
2016: Philpott, Rickards.
Canterbury
2013-2014: Ryan, Holland, Hansen.
2015-2016: Ryan, Haggard, Maddock.
Crusaders
2017: Ryan, MacDonald, Mooar.
2018-2019: Ryan, O'Gara, Goodman, Mooar.
2020: Ryan, Hansen, Goodman, Jones.
2021-2022: Ryan, Hansen, Goodman, Ellison.
2023: Perrin, Hansen, Marshall, Ellison.
Seems like a forwards/set-piece coach, 2-3 attack/backs coaches, & defense coach is his preferred structure.
