I don't get the hype surrounding Lakai. Seems average from what I have seen.
He was very good in the NPC. I imagine it is harder to dominate Super Rugby as a small loose forward given most players will be bigger and stronger than him, so he'll have to adjust. I'm sure he'll get there, though
He seems a busy player. Gets thru loads of work and looks solid. Def. one to watch.

what was wrong there with Ardie charging down the penalty kick? Ref was wrong, wasn't he?
I think you can only do it on a free kick.
Thanks, didn't know that, thought you were always allowed to do that

Ardie's dummy is a work of art.

Please trash talk Lakai again

One-sided now.

He couldn't score 3 100m tries if he tried

MP should have improved after having a full preseason and no Covid-disrupted schedule, but to me it looks like they've regressed rather than improved.
Yep - the small crowds they get at the moment are only going to get worse.
Earlier than previously imagined at this rate.

Cameron 7 out of 8 with the boot, thus far.
missed the last one to make it over 60
Final score 0-59.
9 tries with 7 converted. Last conversion hit the posts

Well that was a fun training run.
Just hope MP can get their act together - been good to see them competitive.

While I'm happy the Canes got a very good win, I'm not happy to see MP trashed this way. I really want them to do well. Maybe they need another coach, who can get more out of his players. One important thing in which they haven't succeeded thus far is luring the big guns back from Europe and Japan. It would make a heck of a difference if they could field players like Ben Tameifuna, Charles Piutau and Malakai Fekitoa (etc). The money overseas is too good, I guess.
